As Taowu was swallowed by the rift in time and space, a figure dozens of feet tall charged toward Chenxing, roaring furiously—it was Chaos, one of the four great beasts.

When Fuxi used his strategy to banish Taowu into the rift, Chaos, who was locked in fierce battle with Nether River and Kunpeng, witnessed it. Enraged, Chaos endured a blow from the Nether River’s Sword of Souls and leapt toward Fuxi, intent on avenging Taowu.

However, Chaos knew that both he and Fuxi possessed late-stage Golden Immortal cultivation; killing Fuxi was impossible. His gaze fell upon Chenxing and the little demon beside Fuxi. Chenxing’s cultivation was unreadable, while the little demon asleep in his arms was merely at the late-stage Golden Immortal level. Chaos decided to slay them first before facing Fuxi and Nuwa in a death battle.

Chenxing paid little mind to Chaos’s charge, but when he saw the thunderous unicorn atop Chaos’s head targeting the little demon in his arms, his expression grew grim.

The crowd watched as a blue lotus appeared above Chenxing’s head. He gently placed the little demon within its heart and said to Nuwa beside him, “Watch over her for me.”

Without waiting for Nuwa’s reply, Chenxing transformed into a bolt of lightning and shot toward Chaos. In an instant, those present saw a golden radiance spiraling around Chaos’s massive body, rotating ceaselessly. Strangely, although Chaos had been charging at Chenxing, once enveloped by the golden light, he was suspended in midair, slowly ascending as if caught in an unimaginable force, accompanied by anguished roars.

Fuxi and nearby cultivators were dumbfounded. Fuxi muttered, “What treasure is this, Daoist Chenxing, so formidable?”

Nuwa, tending to the little demon, shot her brother a glare. “Brother, which eye of yours sees Chenxing using a treasure? Didn’t you notice he’s beating that fellow up himself?”

Nuwa couldn’t see Chenxing’s figure either, but since he had rushed at Chaos and considering Chenxing’s disapproval of using treasures in battle, she didn’t believe he was torturing Chaos with a magical artifact. It was clear he was engaging in a one-sided physical assault.

Hearing his sister, Fuxi came to his senses. Looking again at the golden light surrounding Chaos, his eyes filled with envy and deep admiration.

The bodies of the fierce beasts were unimaginably strong. During his battle with Taowu, Fuxi had only managed to banish it through cleverness. Yet Chenxing, relying solely on his physical strength, was tormenting Chaos—whose cultivation matched Taowu’s—almost to death. This revealed the formidable power of Chenxing’s body.

Though some in the primordial world also cultivated their bodies, most did so for defense—like the twelve ancestral witches to come, whose bodies would be powerful. Yet, lacking primordial spirits, they were unable to refine treasures and instead attacked with innate laws, possessing peerless bodies without knowing how to employ them, leaving Chenxing speechless.

After only a few breaths, Chenxing returned to Fuxi and Nuwa’s side, exhaling and declaring, “Refreshing!” For so many years, he had never acted; the sensation of delivering blow after blow was exhilarating.

Witnessing this savage combat, many cultivators on the battlefield were dumbstruck. Even Elder Qiankun, who was meditating to recover his nearly depleted mana, stared in disbelief. Though he could suppress Chaos, a late-stage Golden Immortal, he absolutely couldn’t do so with such ease.

Now, Chaos’s body had been beaten into pieces, pitiful and wretched, his agonized screams echoing through the primordial world.

As all believed Chaos could not escape this calamity, his shattered form began to slowly reassemble, an eerie sight.

As previously mentioned, since Shennie and the four great beasts were formed from the remains of three thousand gods and demons, they could only be sealed, not destroyed. This was the source of Shennie’s confidence in opposing all of Primordial Heaven—even if all the other beasts were slain, as long as he and the four remained, he could always rise again.

Watching Chaos’s restoration, the most shocked was Daoist Qiankun, who was recovering his mana. Hoping to gain merit from Heaven by slaying the beasts, he had relied on his early-stage quasi-saint cultivation and his innate treasure, the Qiankun Cauldron, to battle Shennie. If Shennie possessed this undying body, even with equal cultivation, Qiankun would surely perish.

Above the nine heavens, Shennie, locked in battle with Hongjun, saw this scene with his divine sense and burst out laughing: “Ha ha ha ha! All of us possess undying bodies. Even if you win today, so what? As long as we cannot die, we will return, and you will ultimately be destroyed by us!”

Hongjun could only sigh. Ever since he obtained the Creation Jade Disc, he understood that though this calamity would wipe out the beasts, Shennie and the four great beasts could only be sealed, not slain. This was Heaven’s way of leaving a thread of hope for living beings.

Hearing Shennie’s arrogant words, Chenxing curled his lip. As Chaos was about to fully recover, he waved his right hand, and a giant hand that could cover the sky seized a star from within Chaos, instantly refining it to a hundred feet in size. The giant hand smashed the star onto Chaos’s recovering body with a thunderous boom. Chaos let out a sky-shaking scream as his enormous form was shattered to dust; from that moment, Chaos ceased to exist in the primordial world.

“Impossible! We are born with undying bodies—who could kill us?” Shennie, seeing Chaos fail to revive, stared in terror at Chenxing’s mocking face and roared.

Chenxing beckoned, and the star transformed into a pearl, flying into his hand. He casually tossed it to Nuwa. “It’s yours. It barely counts as a postcelestial treasure. Go and destroy those two as well.” He pointed at Qiongqi and Taotie, who watched him with venomous eyes.

Nuwa hesitated, knowing her cultivation wasn’t enough to kill two great beasts—even with the star pearl from Chenxing, it was only a postcelestial treasure.

Seeing Nuwa’s hesitation, Chenxing took back the little demon from her arms and explained, “Within the laws of Primordial Heaven, they cannot be slain. But this star pearl, though merely postcelestial, was refined from a star within Chaos. It bears no primordial karma and so perfectly counters those formed from the remains of gods and demons. Rest assured!”

Hearing this, Nuwa no longer hesitated. She activated the star pearl, transforming it into a hundred-foot meteor that smashed into the battlefield.

Chenxing voiced these words without avoiding those nearby. Shennie, battling Hongjun above, heard Chenxing as he fought and shouted to Qiongqi and Taotie, who were fighting the Three Pure Ones and Zhenyuanzi, “Flee! Don’t let the pearl harm you!”

Qiongqi and Taotie heard Chenxing as well, but were firmly entangled by the Three Pure Ones and others, unable to escape. As Nuwa, wielding the star pearl, approached, Taotie roared, opening his mouth wide enough to devour anything, and tried to swallow the hundred-foot pearl. Shennie, seeing Taotie’s action, felt his heart sink and, roaring, forced Hongjun back with the Beast God Spear, rushing to aid Taotie.

But it was too late. Taotie’s maw expanded to hundreds of feet and swallowed the star pearl whole. Yet, unlike all else he had devoured, the pearl did not enter his belly, but shot through the back of his skull without a sound. In an instant, Taotie was reduced to ash.

“No!” Shennie and Qiongqi howled in unison. Since the dawn of creation, the five had led the beast tribe across the primordial world, forming deep bonds. They believed their undying bodies would enable them to survive any calamity, inflict great damage upon Pangu’s world, and one day destroy it entirely. But unexpectedly, the Three Pure Ones and others had blocked the beast armies, then Hongjun had engaged Shennie, and now a mysterious Chenxing had appeared—capable of truly destroying their undying bodies.

After tens of thousands of years, two of the four great beasts had fallen, Taowu was banished to the void, and Shennie’s pride in his undying body was shattered. His hatred grew wild.

“Who are you, really?” Shennie, having disengaged from Hongjun, stared at Chenxing with venomous eyes and asked.

Chenxing replied coolly, “You are not qualified to know who I am. But I’ll tell you this: from the moment your beast tribe invaded Primordial Heaven and frightened my sister with your evil aura, your entire tribe was destined to be erased from this world.” He paused, then added, “Not a single one will remain.” His voice was calm, but his words carried an undeniable finality.

At this moment, Hongjun, who had stopped fighting to observe, was deeply puzzled. He could not discern Chenxing’s cultivation. How could such a master exist in Primordial Heaven and he not know of it? Since Heaven’s will had fully awakened and he, with the Creation Jade Disc, often wandered the river of fate, he had never seen this person’s trace. It was as though Chenxing left no mark in the world.

For the moment, Hongjun’s mind was troubled. An anomaly not under Heaven’s control, with cultivation so high—could he attain sainthood before Chenxing? He wondered how many changes this person’s appearance would bring to Heaven’s operations.

Shennie laughed mockingly. “Ha ha ha ha! I know your cultivation surpasses ours, but to claim you’ll erase all traces of the beast tribe—isn’t that arrogance? Even if we die today, Taowu is only banished to the chaos of time and space; one day he will return. How will you destroy us? It’s laughable.”

Shennie’s face was grim and he said nothing, but Qiongqi, still fighting the Three Pure Ones, burst into wild laughter.

Chenxing smiled faintly, raised his right hand, and drew a line before him with his index finger. A rift in space appeared. With a gesture, a figure flew out of the rift. “Are you speaking of him?”

Everyone looked closely—it was Taowu, who had been banished to the chaos of space-time. All were astonished, uncertain what technique this was. Breaking open space was not difficult; those at the Golden Immortal level could easily do so, and some powerful treasures allowed Taiyi Golden Immortals to achieve it.

But when a being is banished into a space-time rift, unless they can, by chance, use naturally-formed rifts to escape, no one else can rescue them. In the chaos of time and space, it is impossible to locate the banished, so rescue is impossible. Thus, all were amazed at Chenxing’s method; only Hongjun seemed thoughtful.
