While Li Sicheng and Lin Muxue were chatting, the female bodyguard had already opened the villa’s main gate and parked the Mercedes business van and the Rolls-Royce Phantom in the villa’s garage. At that moment, Li Sicheng twisted the handlebar and rode his electric scooter into the villa.

He parked the scooter next to the Rolls-Royce Phantom, but as he got off, he suddenly smacked his forehead and said with some annoyance, “Damn, I forgot to buy a lock.”

Even Lin Muxue couldn’t help but smile wryly at this. “Come on, your scooter is inside my villa. There’s really no need to lock it, is there?”

“No lock? What if a thief sneaks in and steals my scooter?” Li Sicheng countered.

From his expression, it was clear that he was entirely serious, without the slightest hint of a joke.

“Well…” Lin Muxue was at a loss for words.

The female bodyguards nearby were even more speechless. Though they said nothing out loud, in their hearts they couldn’t help but complain: “Is this a joke? With us guarding the villa, how could a thief possibly get in? Does he really think we just sit around and do nothing? Even if, by some miracle, a thief did get in, they’d go for something valuable. That rundown scooter is worth, what, maybe three or four hundred yuan? No thief would bother with it!”

Noticing what everyone was thinking, Li Sicheng said, “Perhaps this scooter doesn’t seem worth much to you. But for me, it’s the most suitable means of transport I have right now. If it were stolen, finding another one as perfect for me wouldn’t be easy.”

The bodyguards were deeply puzzled, muttering inwardly, “It’s just a battered old scooter. What’s so hard about finding another one? Go to the secondhand market and you’ll find dozens.”

Yet, unlike the bodyguards, Lin Muxue seemed to catch on to something in his words. Her expression grew serious at once, and she ordered the bodyguards, “Go and find a good lock immediately. Lock up this scooter. If it goes missing, you won’t need to work for me anymore!”

“Unbelievable,” the bodyguards thought, staring in shock. “Now the boss has gone completely strange under this guy’s influence.”

Still, no matter how much they grumbled inside, none dared to disobey Lin Muxue’s command. They hurried off and brought back a sturdy lock, fastening it to Li Sicheng’s battered, secondhand scooter.

Taking the key, Li Sicheng visibly relaxed.

Then, with Lin Muxue leading the way, he passed through the villa’s beautiful garden and walked to the front door.

The bodyguards did not follow; they stayed in their own quarters within the villa.

Lin Muxue placed her hand on the smart lock by the door. After her fingerprint was verified, she entered a code on the keypad.

As she did so, she told Li Sicheng, “Later, I’ll have someone collect your fingerprint. That way, you won’t be locked out when you come home.”

When the password was entered, the door clicked and swung open automatically.

Stepping inside, they were greeted by a rush of warmth that instantly chased away the chill.

“You’re home, Miss,” a few maids greeted her respectfully, hurrying over.

“Yes, I’m back. Where’s the second young lady? Has she come home?” Lin Muxue asked as she took off her coat, then personally helped Li Sicheng out of his.

The maids were all stunned by this. Since they’d started working for Lin Muxue, they’d never seen her bring a man home. In fact, even among the staff, every one of them was female.

But today, not only had Lin Muxue brought a man home, she was personally helping him with his coat. Her expression and manner were entirely unlike the icy queen they were used to—she looked every bit the gentle, caring wife.

“What on earth is going on?” The maids were so shocked they forgot to answer Lin Muxue’s question.

Lin Muxue frowned, though she didn’t blame the maids. She simply raised her voice and called, “Siyu, where are you? Come down, quickly!”

She had barely called out when a sweet, soft voice floated down from upstairs: “Sis, you’re home?” And a girl of fifteen or sixteen, full of youthful charm, appeared before them.

At the sight of her, Li Sicheng was stunned on the spot.

He wasn’t alone—Lin Muxue and the maids, only just returning to their senses, were all petrified as well.

For the girl was completely naked, not a stitch on her body.

Every inch was bare for all to see.

This girl was none other than Lin Muxue’s younger sister, Lin Siyu.

Her skin was flushed, with droplets of water still on her. She’d probably been soaking in the bathtub, heard her sister call, and climbed out without dressing.

Because there had never been any men in the house, Lin Siyu was used to being uninhibited at home. Running around the house without clothes was nothing unusual for her.

She never imagined that today her sister would bring a man home.

But at that moment, slow to react as she was, Lin Siyu didn’t immediately notice anything out of the ordinary. She didn’t even realize there was a man standing next to Lin Muxue.

She simply ran downstairs, flinging herself into Lin Muxue’s arms, and asked with a bright smile, “Sis, why are you home so late today?”

When Lin Siyu was very little, their parents had died of illness, and from then on Lin Muxue had taken on both mother and father’s role, raising her younger sister. As a result, Lin Siyu was extremely close to her, seeing her not just as a sister, but as a mother figure.

Lin Muxue, still in shock at the astonishing scene before her, automatically replied, “I went to the airport to pick up a friend, so I’m a bit late.”

At that moment, Lin Siyu’s gaze finally landed on Li Sicheng.

“A friend? You mean this guy?”

“Yes, it’s him—uh, Siyu, could you go upstairs and put some clothes on first?” Lin Muxue said, grabbing her own coat and wrapping it around her sister.

“Get dressed? Why?” Lin Siyu was bewildered at first, then suddenly snapped to attention. A flush of bright red spread across her innocent, pretty face.

A piercing scream burst from her lips, enough to shatter eardrums: “A man?! Why is there a man in our house?”
