Even Mo Ke, Liu Wei, and the others couldn’t resist pulling out their phones, joining the crowd snapping photos. Witnessing this spectacle, Li Sicheng could do nothing but force a wry smile, at a loss for how else to respond.

Shaking his head in exasperation, he said, “Come on, I’m not a celebrity—do you really have to fawn over me like this?”

The people taking photos burst out laughing in unison. A girl he didn’t recognize, her face full of admiration, said, “You may not be a celebrity, but you outshine any star. At least, I’ve never seen any celebrity risk their life for someone else… Well, except in the movies, of course!”

Her words were immediately met with enthusiastic agreement.

“That’s right! Even celebrities can’t compare to you!”

“In my heart, you’re already a star… No, not just a star, you’re a hero!”

“You may not be famous now, but I’m sure after today’s events spread, you’ll be a celebrity for sure! At the very least, you’re already a superstar here at Nanshan High School!”

“Alright, alright, enough with the compliments. Any more and I’ll really start blushing,” Li Sicheng said, waving his hand.

His words and gesture only sparked another round of laughter.

“Hey, you’re hurt...” Amid the laughter, Liu Wei suddenly noticed the blood on Li Sicheng’s face and hands.

Though the cuts from the glass weren’t deep, the bright red blood continued to trickle out, and it was clear that without some care, it wouldn’t stop anytime soon.

Liu Wei’s exclamation immediately drew everyone’s attention to Li Sicheng’s injuries. Right away, someone squeezed out of the crowd and dashed to their dorm room.

“I have rubbing alcohol, wait here, I’ll get it!”

“I’ve got some band-aids, I’ll go grab a few!”

Despite the throng filling the dorm and hallway, everyone instinctively made way, letting the girls fetch the alcohol and band-aids as quickly as possible.

No one wanted to be the one to delay things.

No, to be precise, everyone was desperate for Li Sicheng to get treated as soon as possible. Anyone who dared get in the way would be scolded mercilessly by the crowd. It was clear that, in the hearts of these girls, Li Sicheng’s courageous rescue had earned him immense respect and admiration.

Soon, the alcohol and band-aids were brought in. A cluster of self-proclaimed deft-handed girls crowded around Li Sicheng, tending to his wounds and carefully applying band-aids.

Li Sicheng felt utterly unaccustomed to such attention. He tried to insist on doing it himself, but the girls unanimously vetoed the idea, leaving him with no choice but to accept their “imperial” service.

In no time, several band-aids covered his face and hands, and Mo Ke gently wiped away the blood with a warm, damp towel.

After Liu Wei applied the last band-aid to his face, she was suddenly seized by a bold impulse. Leaning in, she kissed him gently on the cheek.

“Wow—!”

Liu Wei’s sudden move took everyone by surprise, including Li Sicheng. For a moment, the entire room erupted in astonished shouts.

“What… what just happened?” Li Sicheng was so startled by the unexpected kiss that his face instantly flushed bright red.

Liu Wei was embarrassed at first, but seeing Li Sicheng blushing so shyly, she couldn’t help but giggle and tease, “That’s just your big sister’s way of saying thank you. Didn’t it feel good?”

“Isn’t that a bit much for a thank you…” Li Sicheng stammered awkwardly, completely at a loss.

Already handsome, his bashful, red-faced expression only made him all the more endearing. The girls around him were smitten.

“Oh my, that shy face is just too adorable!”

“I’ve never seen a guy blush like that before, Li Sicheng—was that your first time being kissed by a girl?”

“He’s so cute I can’t stand it! I want to kiss him too!”

What happened next was beyond anything Li Sicheng could have imagined, and made him realize that girls could be just as bold as boys. These starry-eyed girls didn’t stop at words—they actually lined up, each taking a turn to plant a kiss on his cheek.

Mo Ke, Zhao Ya, and a host of other girls, many of them strangers to him, all cheerfully left their lip marks on Li Sicheng’s face. Meanwhile, others held up their phones, capturing this scene that would make any man envious.

Each girl, after kissing him, would sincerely thank him—not for letting them kiss him, but for his heroic act in saving Liu Wei.

Li Sicheng wanted to dodge or escape, but the crowd was packed so tightly, layer upon layer, that he had no chance of slipping away. He could only resign himself to his fate.

As the girls queued up to kiss him, Li Sicheng muttered under his breath, “With so many girls kissing me, am I going to be unlucky again?”

He was worried, but not as much as he had been in previous incidents. After all, this wasn’t simply “good fortune with women”—it was a gesture of gratitude for his bravery. Usually, sudden windfalls came with a price, but acts of kindness might lead to good things instead.

Maybe this time, something wonderful would happen.

Half an hour later, the line finally ended, and Li Sicheng let out a long sigh of relief.

Until now, he would never have imagined that being kissed could be so exhausting—though, of course, only if one was being kissed by hundreds of girls.

Just as Li Sicheng thought it was all over and he could finally catch his breath, a tall, imposing figure appeared before him.

Looking up, Li Sicheng nearly jumped out of his skin. “No way—is that you, Dorm Warden Auntie? You came to join the fun too?”

The burly dorm warden grinned and strode over...
