Li Sicheng was so absorbed in examining the feng shui of Class 3’s first-year classroom that he failed to notice the students inside, busy with their morning self-study, were all peering at him through the doors and windows.

“Siyu, do you think that fraud is actually transferring into our class?” Tan Xiaoxiao nudged her deskmate Lin Siyu with her elbow and whispered.

“I have no idea,” Lin Siyu replied with a frown.

Suddenly, she recalled that her elder sister, Lin Muxue, had told her just last night to look after Li Sicheng at school. Could it be that wretched fraud took those words to heart and actually transferred into her class? The thought that her sister treated this liar even better than her own kin made Lin Siyu grit her teeth in frustration. “Look after you? Hmph, don’t even dream! Even if pigs climb trees, I still won’t look after you!”

Tan Xiaoxiao, oblivious to Lin Siyu’s inner turmoil, assumed her friend was simply upset about Li Sicheng joining their class and offered comfort. “Siyu, don’t be so glum. If that fraud comes to our class, it’s actually convenient for us—we can torment him as much as we like! If he’d transferred elsewhere, it would have been much more trouble.”

Lin Siyu’s eyes lit up at that. “You’re right. Let’s put our heads together and make him so miserable that he leaves on his own!”

“That’s the Siyu I know.” Then, Tan Xiaoxiao’s expression became mischievous. “Hey, did your chest get bigger since last week? Let me check if you’re developing.” She reached over, making Lin Siyu yelp and clutch her chest, crying out, “Don’t touch me, you pervert… Hey! Stop pinching me!”

Nearby boys, with hearts just awakening to love, blushed furiously at the scene, some even breathing heavily and averting their eyes, hands awkwardly shielding the telltale evidence of their excitement.

After a bout of laughter, seeing Lin Siyu’s spirits improve, Tan Xiaoxiao relented and turned to Zhao Yuan, who had been watching the commotion. “Have you seen enough?”

“Uh…” Zhao Yuan was caught off-guard. After a moment’s hesitation, he asked cautiously, “Sister Xiaoxiao, should I say yes or no?”

Tan Xiaoxiao rolled her eyes. “How should I know if you’ve had enough? Whatever, I’m not going to argue. That guy you were supposed to teach a lesson to will likely transfer into our class. You know what to do, right?”

Zhao Yuan nodded eagerly. “Got it. I’ll give him a proper welcome!”

“Good boy,” Tan Xiaoxiao said with satisfaction. “I’ll be watching you.”

The bespectacled Zhang Xiaoling, whom Li Sicheng had rescued from Ma Kang earlier, also sat in Class 3, just in front of Zhao Yuan. She put aside her English textbook and turned to him, whispering, “Zhao Yuan, why does Tan Xiaoxiao want to target that guy outside?”

Zhao Yuan shook his head. “How should I know? Maybe he did something to offend her, or maybe she just dislikes the look of him.”

Zhang Xiaoling pressed, “So what are you going to do to him?”

“Heh, you’ll see soon enough.” Zhao Yuan replied mysteriously.

Zhang Xiaoling wanted to ask more but, afraid of arousing suspicion, she let it drop and picked up her textbook again. But her mind wasn’t on her studies; all she could think about was warning Li Sicheng to be careful.

After all, it was Li Sicheng who had come to her aid at the school gates—she owed him a debt of gratitude. Besides, deep inside, she couldn’t deny a budding fondness for the handsome, jade-like Li Sicheng.

Unaware of the undercurrents swirling in the classroom, Li Sicheng, having chosen his new class, followed the principal’s secretary, Xiao Wang, to the first-year teachers’ office, where they found the homeroom teacher of Class 3, Gao Zixi.

She was a woman in her twenties, young and full of energy.

A graduate from a prestigious normal university, she had only been teaching for a few years but already demonstrated remarkable ability. Most importantly, she was passionate, determined to see every student in her class succeed.

It was this drive that earned her the position of homeroom teacher for Class 3 in the highly competitive Nanshan High School.

Aside from her teaching prowess, Gao Zixi was also considered one of the most attractive teachers at Nanshan High. Clad in a suit and skirt, with glasses perched on her nose and a pointer in her hand, she exuded a unique blend of charm and sensuality. Many boys had dreamed—more than once—of being gently disciplined by her in an empty classroom…

Just the thought was enough to make one blush.

Last year, some graduating seniors had even compiled a school-wide ranking of the female teachers’ looks. Gao Zixi, with overwhelming votes, made it into the top three. Clearly, she had many admirers at Nanshan High.

Xiao Wang was evidently one of them. In her presence, he was flustered and stammered, taking ages to explain the transfer of Li Sicheng to Class 3. In contrast, Li Sicheng remained calm and composed before this elegant beauty.

“As it happens, I’m teaching the first class today. You can come to the classroom with me,” Gao Zixi said, closing her lesson plan and standing up.

Xiao Wang’s head spun briefly at the sight of her long, shapely legs in black stockings.

Gao Zixi was well used to such reactions from men and no longer paid them any mind.

It was Li Sicheng’s steady gaze that piqued her curiosity. She noticed that his eyes were clear and unclouded, unlike those of other boys who would either steal glances or avoid her gaze altogether.

“This is a pure-hearted, kind child,” Gao Zixi thought to herself.

Clearly, her first impression of Li Sicheng was quite favorable.

When they entered the classroom, morning self-study was still in session.

Gao Zixi led Li Sicheng onto the podium and announced, “Everyone, please pause for a moment. I have something to say. Today, a new classmate is joining us. I hope you’ll all show your best side and help him quickly become part of our Class 3 family. Now, let’s invite our new classmate to introduce himself.”

Li Sicheng showed no sign of nerves. He spoke confidently, “Hello everyone, my name is Li Sicheng—”

“Li Sicheng? What a country bumpkin name!”

“I thought you’d be named after Li Ka-shing. Forget it, get off the stage, no one wants to hear your introduction!”

He hadn’t even finished speaking when a chorus of jeers and taunts erupted in the classroom, led by none other than Zhao Yuan.
