"That's good! If I ever find out that you used corporal punishment or extorted confessions, don't blame me for being merciless with you!" Tan Ying let out a cold hum, waved her hand dismissively, and commanded, "Alright, stop wasting time, hurry up and release that student named Li Sichen!"

So the jinx's name was Li Sichen.

Only at this moment did Little Liu and the others learn what Li Sichen was called.

It wasn't that they hadn't wanted to ask before, but rather that they had no way and no guts to do so.

After a moment of hesitation, Little Liu replied with a bitter smile, "Captain Tan, it's not that we won't let him go, it's that he refuses to leave on his own."

Tan Ying froze in astonishment. "Refuses to leave? Could it be that he intends to freeload at your police station?"

Little Liu and the others nodded in unison. "Isn't he just freeloading here? Captain Tan, since you know him, please help us persuade him to leave our police station right now. With him here, we can't do our work at all."

And weren't they right?

Ever since Li Sichen had arrived, this place had been in absolute chaos without a single moment of peace. Forget about working, even their personal safety wasn't guaranteed...

Tan Ying froze once again.

Because the behavior of Little Liu and the others was simply too bizarre.

She couldn't help pondering to herself: "What on earth is going on here? Why do I get the feeling they are all desperately wishing for Li Sichen to leave quickly? This reaction is nothing like what I had imagined..."

Though deeply puzzled, Tan Ying didn't press further and simply said, "Let's go, take me to Li Sichen."

The moment her voice trailed off, Li Sichen's voice drifted out from the darkness behind Little Liu and the others. "Don't trouble yourselves, I'm already out."

Squinting her eyes and relying on the faint candlelight in the hands of Little Liu and the others, Tan Ying spotted Li Sichen walking out from the shadows.

It was precisely at this moment that Little Liu and the others collectively made an unexpected move.

They abruptly scrambled back toward both sides, adopting postures as if they wanted to get as far away as humanly possible.

Seeing this, Tan Ying's jaw dropped in shock.

She never would have imagined that Little Liu and the others would be afraid of Li Sichen, and terrified to such an absurd degree...

Tan Ying couldn't help but carefully size up Li Sichen.

No matter how she looked at him, in her eyes, Li Sichen was just an ordinary student, not some ferocious beast. She genuinely couldn't fathom why Little Liu and the others were so terrified.

If Little Liu and the others knew what she was thinking at this moment, they would surely wail in protest: "What ferocious beast? This kid is a walking disaster, plain and simple! You can find a way to deal with a ferocious beast, but when facing a jinx, you don't even get a chance to fight back..."

While appraising Li Sichen, Tan Ying asked, "You are Li Sichen? Are you alright?"

"Thank you for your concern, I'm fine," Li Sichen replied.

Hearing this exchange, Little Liu and the others couldn't help but vent in their hearts: "How could he possibly not be fine? We've been treating him like an ancestral deity, giving him whatever he wants to eat and drink, and we even sacrificed my iPad for him! His life here couldn't possibly be any more comfortable!"

"As long as you're fine." Tan Ying nodded, then raised a hand to point at Little Liu and the others standing against the wall. "They told me you refuse to leave this place."

Li Sichen replied, "I wanted to watch a good show earlier, which is why I stayed."

"And now? Can you leave now?" Tan Ying asked.

Li Sichen nodded. "The show is over, so naturally I can leave."

Hearing Li Sichen's words, Little Liu and the others exchanged glances.

This kid really did know that the discipline inspection commission officers were coming to arrest Wang Guotao!

They could be certain that the "show" Li Sichen mentioned referred to the commission arresting Wang Guotao. But what they couldn't wrap their heads around was how an ordinary-looking middle school student had advance knowledge of the discipline inspection commission's itinerary. Could it be that Li Sichen's background was actually extraordinary?

Little Liu and the others experienced a sudden jolt of alarm.

That's right, someone capable of alarming the female Tyrannosaurus Rex—could their background possibly be small?

No wonder Wang Guotao capsined; he had simply provoked someone absolutely untouchable!

Tan Ying had no idea what was running through the minds of Little Liu and the others. She nodded and said, "Alright, then come with me."

"Sure," Li Sichen agreed without the slightest hesitation.

This reaction caught Tan Ying slightly off guard. Pausing for a moment, she asked curiously, "Do you know who I am? You agreed to come with me just like that?"

Li Sichen smiled. "You are Tan Xiaoxiao's paternal aunt."

Tan Ying's jaw dropped as she asked in utter surprise, "How do you know I'm Xiaoxiao's aunt? Did she tell you?"

"No," Li Sichen shook his head and replied, "I figured it out by looking at you."

"Figured it out? What do you mean?" Tan Ying was perplexed.

Pointing at her face, Li Sichen explained, "Your facial features are seven or eight parts similar to Sister Xiaoxiao's. Your personalities are even more alike. Therefore, the two of you most likely share a blood relation."

Interest piqued, Tan Ying chuckled, "Well, well, I didn't expect you to be quite so clever. Hey, why didn't you guess that I'm her older sister? Do you think I look that old?"

"Of course not," Li Sichen denied flatly.

He knew all too well how terrifying the consequences of calling a woman old could be.

Li Sichen continued explaining, "If we only look at age, you certainly resemble Sister Tan Xiaoxiao's older sister. However, your physiognomy indicates the fortune of having an older brother but no younger sister. Therefore, you are absolutely not Tan Xiaoxiao's older sister—neither a biological nor a paternal cousin sister could it be... Putting all these factors together, I concluded that you must be Tan Xiaoxiao's paternal aunt."

"You even know physiognomy?" Tan Ying asked, astonished.

"Just a little bit," Li Sichen answered modestly.

Tan Ying didn't react much to this, but Little Liu and the others nearby couldn't help rolling their eyes internally, mentally complaining: "Just a little bit? First you foresaw Wang Guotao's prison sentence, and now you've deduced Captain Tan's exact identity. If this skill counts as 'just a little bit', what on earth do the fortune-tellers setting up stalls by rivers and in parks make of themselves? Humility is fine, but excessive humility just becomes hypocrisy!"

"You really are an interesting little fellow," Tan Ying smiled.

Li Sichen was right; she was indeed Tan Xiaoxiao's paternal aunt.

And she had come here today because she received a cry for help from Tan Xiaoxiao over the phone.

During the call, Tan Xiaoxiao told her that a classmate had acted courageously for a righteous cause by rushing into a burning building to save someone, only to be framed as an arsonist and dragged into the police station.

Tan Ying's personality was inherently intolerant of evil and injustice; she could never let wrongdoing slide. Upon hearing about the matter, she flew into a rage and rushed over to rescue the person.

Yet she never expected that the actual situation here would turn out to be so... bizarre!
