Chapter 103: Who Is Destined for a Bloody Disaster?
Facing the enraged students, Lei Shaofei showed no sign of fear; instead, a sinister grin spread across his face.
“What’s the matter? Want to fight? You bunch of brats who haven’t even grown a proper patch of hair dare to pick a fight? Fine, today big brother here will give you a lesson you’ll never forget—Mountain Cannon!”
No sooner had he finished speaking than several burly men appeared from the nearby corridor, positioning themselves in front of Lei Shaofei.
The leader of the group was none other than the Mountain Cannon whom Li Sicheng had encountered earlier at the airport. A fresh scar ran across his shaved head, resembling a grotesque, menacing centipede.
That scar had been inflicted when a glass wall suddenly collapsed at the airport, striking him.
Mountain Cannon cracked his knuckles menacingly, “Dare provoke Lei Shao? You must want to die!”
The other burly men remained silent but took action, smashing their beer bottles against the wall with sharp cracks. The shattered glass transformed into gleaming, deadly weapons.
When it came to fighting, these toughs had far more experience than the students. With their newly acquired weapons, they successfully intimidated the students, whose morale quickly plummeted.
“Damn, why didn’t we think to grab something to use as weapons?”
“These broken bottles look sharp. If someone gets stabbed in a vital spot, they might not make it…”
“What do we do now? What should we do?”
Except for a few braver students, most began to feel fearful and panicked.
It was only natural. Even adults would feel scared witnessing such a scene.
“Don’t be afraid, I’m a teacher. No one will harm you while I’m here!” Gao Zixi, though frightened herself, stood unwaveringly in front of the students to protect them.
“Do you have no respect for the law? Not only do you harass and molest minors in public, now you’re threatening them with weapons! I’m calling the police right now to bring you to justice!” Gao Zixi reprimanded Lei Shao and his men as she pulled out her phone and dialed the police.
“Calling the cops? Don’t even dream about it!” Mountain Cannon sneered, stepping forward to snatch the phone from her hand.
At that moment, a figure suddenly flashed out from behind Gao Zixi, blocking Mountain Cannon’s hand.
“It’s you?”
Mountain Cannon’s voice cracked in surprise as he recognized the newcomer.
Lei Shaofei also spotted Li Sicheng. He froze for a moment before exclaiming, “What are you doing here?”
He had truly not expected to encounter Li Sicheng here.
Seeing him instantly brought back memories of the humiliating ordeal at the airport just days ago.
Lei Shaofei and Mountain Cannon’s reactions puzzled the other drunks, who curiously asked, “Lei Shao, what’s going on? Do you know this kid?”
Gao Zixi and Lin Siyu, among others, were also curious about the connection between Li Sicheng and Lei Shaofei, Mountain Cannon.
“Know him? Of course I do. And I remember him vividly!” Lei Shaofei rubbed the scar on the back of his head, which still throbbed painfully—the very injury from crashing into the glass wall at the airport.
For the arrogant Lei Shaofei, that incident was the ultimate humiliation.
Since then, he had pondered repeatedly whether the glass wall’s collapse was a mere accident or a setup by Li Sicheng.
After much thought, he concluded it was purely accidental—the glass wall falling was an accident, and Li Sicheng was just pretending to be some kind of supernatural entity.
This conclusion both relieved and infuriated Lei Shaofei.
Relieved because it proved Li Sicheng was just a normal person, not some demon with special powers. Furious because he felt thoroughly duped and wronged; no one had ever tricked him so badly—making him so scared he wet himself, and then causing him to crash into a glass wall on purpose.
Over the past few days, Lei Shaofei had been searching for Li Sicheng, eager to exact revenge and restore his honor.
He regretted not witnessing Lin Muxue’s welcome of Li Sicheng at the airport when he passed out early, or else he wouldn’t be so bent on vengeance.
Now, seeing Li Sicheng, Lei Shaofei was thrilled; he believed the chance to settle the score had arrived.
Looking at Li Sicheng, he sneered, “What do you mean by ‘searched high and low with no luck’? This is it, damn it! Kid, today you’re going to taste bloodshed too!”
“’Searched high and low with no luck’? What’s that supposed to mean?” Everyone was momentarily stunned.
One of Mountain Cannon’s burly companions turned his head and kindly corrected, “Uh… Lei Shao, the phrase should be ‘searched high and low but found nowhere,’ right?”
Lei Shaofei’s face flushed red as he cursed loudly, “’Found nowhere’ and ‘no luck’—aren’t they the same thing? You talk too much, damn it! Do you want me to teach you or not?”
“N-no, sir,” the burly man was scolded thoroughly but dared not argue, instead sheepishly admitting his mistake.
Having vented his anger, Lei Shaofei pointed arrogantly at Li Sicheng and commanded, “Mountain Cannon, finish him off!”
“Got it!” Mountain Cannon replied gravely, nodding firmly.
After the airport incident, Mountain Cannon had also been searching for Li Sicheng, thirsting for revenge. Today, he finally found him.
“Kid, this is what they call ‘heaven’s road you won’t take, hell’s door you barged into!’” Mountain Cannon grabbed a shattered beer bottle from a companion and grinned maliciously.
Gao Zixi grew anxious, shouting, “What do you want to do? I warn you, don’t act recklessly! I’ve already called the police; they’ll be here soon!”
Unfortunately, her words failed to intimidate them.
Mountain Cannon sneered, “The nearest police station is at least ten minutes away after they get the call. That’s plenty of time for us to do what we want. Listen up—if you don’t want holes poked in you, then get lost. Otherwise, don’t blame me if he gets wrecked too!”
Lei Shaofei’s arrogance reached new heights as he laughed, “Calling the cops? Ha! The chief of the local police station is tight with me. Even if they come, they’ll be on my side!”
