126 The Kill
As a gruesome melee seemed imminent, Ji Dongqiang suddenly shouted, "Huang Aixue, Miao Hongyi, Wu Rong, Zou Li, let's join forces and kill those five!" Where there are people, there are cliques.
Forming factions is an instinct that has existed since the dawn of humanity. It is precisely because of this instinct that humans have managed to stand at the top of the food chain in the natural world. However, this also brings many drawbacks, such as cronyism and bullying. Within this small class, Ji Dongqiang, Huang Aixue, and their peers formed a tight-knit group; they spent their time together both in and out of class, so it was only natural for them to unite at a time like this.
Upon hearing this, Huang Aixue and the others were instantly energized. "Good, let's join forces and take out the other five!" Among the remaining five, aside from Lin Qi, the other four were all visibly panicked. They wanted to unite as well, but it was clearly too late.
"Kill Lin Qi first!" Ji Dongqiang roared, charging toward Lin Qi. He chose Lin Qi for two reasons: first, due to a long-standing grudge between them; and second, because of Song Qingzhu. They were all young men in their twenties, so why should Lin Qi be the one to receive Song Qingzhu’s favor? Ji Dongqiang found Lin Qi an eyesore in every way. With Song Qingzhu around, he hadn't dared to act, but today was the perfect opportunity to settle a private score under the guise of public conflict. There was another reason, too: they had never seen Lin Qi practice martial arts, so they naturally assumed he was the easiest target.
Ji Dongqiang charged first, followed closely by Huang Aixue, Miao Hongyi, and the others. In an instant, they had Lin Qi surrounded.
"Hah!"
"Hya!"
They unleashed their fists and feet, some even brandishing hidden weapons, determined to kill Lin Qi on the spot. Outside the circle, Song Qingzhu watched the scene with a faint, cold smile. Inside the circle, the remaining four men were not about to remain indifferent; they knew that once Lin Qi died, their turn would be next.
Even without tactical coordination or deep bonds, they had to unite at this moment. One of them shouted, "Attack!" and the remaining four rushed forward.
At the epicenter of the battlefield, Lin Qi remained remarkably calm. Ji Dongqiang was the first to reach him, his hand curled into a claw, lunging for Lin Qi’s throat.
Eagle Claw Technique! A pity it hadn't been mastered. Lin Qi sneered, suddenly reaching out to grab Ji Dongqiang’s wrist, then snapping it downward.
"Crack!" Ji Dongqiang’s wrist fractured instantly.
"Ah—!" Ji Dongqiang let out a piercing scream. A second later, Lin Qi delivered a brutal kick to his chest.
The scream was cut short. Ji Dongqiang was sent flying, landing on the ground as a corpse. Huang Aixue was the second to attack, wielding a dagger aimed at Lin Qi’s chest. Lin Qi grabbed out, and somehow the dagger ended up in his hand. Then, with a backhanded thrust, Lin Qi plunged the blade into Huang Aixue’s chest.
Huang Aixue looked down in disbelief as blood began to gush from her heart. She could not fathom how Lin Qi possessed such speed and such ruthless methods. Huang Aixue collapsed as well. Next, Miao Hongyi and Wu Rong attacked simultaneously. Miao Hongyi unleashed hidden darts, while Wu Rong employed the Tan Leg style, attacking Lin Qi’s lower body.
Lin Qi grabbed Wu Rong and used him as a human shield. The darts struck home, burying themselves in Wu Rong’s forehead and chest—though the fatal blow was the one that pierced his throat. Wu Rong died on the spot. Seeing this, Miao Hongyi was struck with terror and turned to flee. However, Lin Qi plucked a dart from Wu Rong’s chest and hurled it at Miao Hongyi’s back.
In truth, Lin Qi had never specifically trained with hidden weapons, but the distance was so short and his strength so immense that the dart claimed Miao Hongyi’s life instantly. Miao Hongyi collapsed, never to rise again.
Now, only Zou Li remained. She held a meteor hammer and had intended to strike, but seeing Lin Qi kill four people in the blink of an eye, she dared not move. Her legs shook uncontrollably, and her crotch grew damp as the sharp, pungent scent of urine filled the air. The remaining four men were stunned; they had intended to help Lin Qi, but he had wiped out four of them single-handedly!
Lin Qi crossed his arms and pointed at Zou Li with his chin. "This woman is for you." Zou Li was actually quite pretty—a young woman in her twenties, looking clean and polished. But at this moment, no one felt any pity. If she didn't die, they would! The remaining four men did not hesitate, lunging at Zou Li and killing her in an instant. Zou Li fell, her body covered in deep wounds, her eyes wide open, clearly dying with grievances unavenged.
"Teacher Song, is this enough?" Lin Qi looked toward Song Qingzhu outside the circle. From start to finish, Lin Qi hadn't moved a single step.
Damn, he really pulled it off. Song Qingzhu’s smile was like a blooming flower as she said softly, "That’s enough." A sudden gust of wind swept through, and yellow sand filled the air, quickly burying the bodies and the blood of the fallen.
