Words upon Release

I still remember when "The Great Rancher of America" was first published in March 2016. That day was rushed—I only released three chapters, and for someone with clumsy hands, it took eight hours to finish writing them.

The initial reception averaged over six hundred subscriptions, gradually growing to more than eight thousand. Given more time, surpassing ten thousand subscriptions wouldn’t have been impossible. Nearly two thousand chapters later, every increase in subscriptions was hard-earned.

"The Rancher" was banned for a month, which had a significant impact. Feeling that I had said all I needed to say, I then wrote this book, "Born in Chinatown." Occasionally, when I think of Fat Cat and Fat Ding, I can’t help but smile.

One person is rich for three generations; another is poor for three generations. Compared to Han Xuan's extravagant lifestyle, Su Mu’s life feels more authentic—marginalization, discrimination, rare chances to rise up. The process is inevitably oppressive, but isn’t that just life?

My storytelling pace is slow, aiming for detailed descriptions. Because of this, it lacks the typical thrills found in beginner or harem novels, which are already abundant. I believe the world doesn’t need another one like me, so I prefer to write something different. Fast-paced stories have their excitement; slow ones have their own charm.

I started writing in college and have been a full-time writer since graduation. Fortunately, with all your support, life has been manageable. Last year, I was fortunate enough to leave the ranks of the single, and recently I’ve been accompanying my girlfriend as she studies in Jinling.

This is the third time the book is about to be published.
