Chapter 109: Let You Taste the Terror of Being Ruled by Sikong Xu
“Who are you?”
Seeing Sikong Xu walking straight toward Ye Xi, the boy was the first to speak.
He was not wearing a school uniform. Instead, he was dressed with deliberate elegance, from head to toe in expensive designer clothes. At a glance, it was obvious that he was either a wealthy young heir or the son of some rich family.
Parked beside him was a Rolls-Royce Wraith worth around five million yuan. He had not driven it himself, however; a chauffeur was sitting inside. After all, he was only a middle-school student. The thought of him driving was simply too alarming.
The sports car also carried a huge bouquet of vivid red roses. There seemed to be nine hundred and ninety-nine of them—or at least so many that no one could possibly count them.
A crowd of people had gathered around the boy, all of them egging him on. They appeared to be his band of spoiled friends.
By contrast, Ye Xi had only one other person with her—a girl who looked like her best friend.
Sikong Xu glanced at the boy with disdain. It was not as though he was jealous merely because the other boy was rich. Wealthy people were the worst.
Ignoring him, Sikong Xu walked straight over to Ye Xi and said, “If something like this happens again, remember to call me immediately. Do you understand?”
“You’re so annoying.” Ye Xi frowned, sounding rather displeased. It was unclear whether she was upset because she had been harassed or because of Sikong Xu.
“Hello. My name is Zhao Tian. I’m Ye Xi’s boyfriend. May I ask who you are?”
Unexpectedly, after being ignored by Sikong Xu, the boy did not lose his temper. Instead, he remained perfectly polite.
“You have a boyfriend?” Sikong Xu immediately turned toward Ye Xi.
If this was true, he might very well break this Zhao Tian fellow’s legs.
How dare he lay a hand on his adorable little sister? He must have been tired of living.
At that moment, Sikong Xu seemed to awaken to a certain trait known as a sister complex.
“He has nothing to do with me!” Ye Xi’s cold expression changed in an instant. She looked almost anxious, as though she were afraid Sikong Xu might misunderstand.
“If he has nothing to do with you, then let’s go.”
Sikong Xu patted her lightly on the head, then took her soft hand and prepared to leave.
Ye Xi’s fingers seemed to struggle for a moment, but when she realized she could not pull free, she stopped resisting.
Sikong Xu then turned to the girl beside her and smiled warmly. “Hello. I’m Xiaoxi’s brother, Sikong Xu.”
“H-hello. I’m Xiaoxi’s classmate. My name is Liu… Liu Mingming.”
The girl seemed rather shy. She wore a pair of large, round glasses, and her little face was flushed with embarrassment, making her look exceptionally sweet. More importantly, she had grown remarkably tall for her age.
Sikong Xu nearly stared blankly for a moment.
Good heavens. Had middle-school girls really developed so quickly these days?
“Liu Mingming, why don’t you come with us? Ignore them.”
Sikong Xu flashed a bright smile.
“Stop!”
Seeing Ye Xi and Sikong Xu about to leave, Zhao Tian immediately rushed after them with his friends and blocked their path.
“Xiaoxi, I really love you. Please give me one chance!”
Zhao Tian dropped to one knee, lifted the enormous bouquet he had taken from the car toward Ye Xi, and spoke with deep emotion.
“Zhao Tian, stop bothering me. I already told you—this is impossible.”
Ye Xi knitted her brows. Even when she was angry, she looked incredibly cute.
“Xiaoxi, I really…”
“Hey, can you stop being such an eyesore?”
Sikong Xu had already lost patience. Flirting with his sister right in front of him—who had given this guy the courage? Some pop star?
“What exactly do you think you are? You look like a complete fool, and you still think you can pursue my sister? Go home and take a good look in the mirror.”
To be honest, Sikong Xu could probably knock down dozens of boys like Zhao Tian with one hand.
“What exactly do you think you are?” Zhao Tian snapped. “Do you know who I am? At First Secondary School, no one has ever dared to speak to me like that.”
“I don’t even go to your school. Why wouldn’t I dare speak to you that way? You’re a strange one.”
“You…”
Zhao Tian once again suppressed his anger. He had overheard the conversation between Sikong Xu and Liu Mingming.
“You’re Xiaoxi’s brother, right? If you let your sister date me…” As he spoke, Zhao Tian pointed behind him. “I’ll give you that car as a small token of my sincerity. I’ll even give you a bank card with five hundred thousand yuan in savings. How does that sound?”
“Who gave you permission to call her Xiaoxi? Watch your mouth.”
Sikong Xu looked at him contemptuously. “A car and a bank card with five hundred thousand yuan? My sister isn’t that cheap.”
To be honest, ever since entering Dawn Academy, Sikong Xu’s horizons had broadened considerably. Money was such a vulgar thing that he simply could not—
Well, unless it amounted to several hundred million, he really did not care for it.
Just look at how wealthy Dawn Academy was. The academy did not take money seriously at all; it even offered a system for exchanging academic credits for cash. If Sikong Xu truly wanted money, one academic credit could be exchanged for a thousand yuan. After completing a single fantasy-world mission, he could probably earn several million.
In short, money meant only two things to Sikong Xu now: vulgar and tasteless.
“I’ve already been polite enough,” Zhao Tian said, his anger rising. “Don’t force me to stop being nice. If you provoke me, you won’t like the consequences.”
Given his family background, killing someone without leaving a trace would be an extremely simple matter.
If he had not genuinely liked Ye Xi, he would have forced himself upon her long ago.
Sikong Xu merely shook his head and smiled. Zhao Tian’s threats meant nothing to him. If he were truly pushed too far, there was no one in this world he would not dare provoke.
And if he encountered someone or some faction he could not afford to offend, could he not simply hide? He could use his Traveler talent to vanish into thin air. Who would ever be able to find him then?
“Let’s go. Don’t pay attention to that barking dog.”
Still holding Ye Xi’s soft hand, Sikong Xu spoke without hesitation.
He did not want to waste any more time. Mikasa was waiting for him at home, and he did not want to make her wait too long.
“Hmph. I really can’t tell whether you’re stupid or simply too bold…”
Zhao Tian had lost his patience as well. He exchanged a glance with several of his friends.
The others immediately understood and moved to surround Sikong Xu and the girls.
Zhao Tian had quite a few people with him, but they were all middle-school students. Their menacing expressions and iron rods might have frightened ordinary people, but they posed no pressure whatsoever to Sikong Xu.
Even the old version of himself—the one once known as the Loser King—could probably have knocked down one or two of them. As for his current self, dealing with them would be effortless.
“Zhao Tian, what are you doing? Have you gone mad? This is a school!”
Sikong Xu remained perfectly calm, but Ye Xi and Liu Mingming were terrified. Ye Xi in particular knew her brother well. Though she usually maintained a cold exterior, she understood that her adopted brother had always been a meek, obedient student.
If a fight really broke out, he would be at a serious disadvantage.
What Ye Xi did not know was that this so-called brother of hers had already undergone a transformation deep within his soul. He was no longer the useless older brother he had once been.
“I’ll return your words to you. I really can’t tell whether you’re stupid or simply too bold. Since you dared to provoke me, I’ll let you experience the fear of being ruled by a giant…”
He paused.
“No, the fear of being ruled by Sikong Xu!”
After becoming accustomed to fighting in fantasy worlds, Sikong Xu was genuinely afraid that he might accidentally kill someone in the real world.
