Chapter 104: Return (The End)

Suddenly, his consciousness sharpened, and Si Kongxu jolted, sitting bolt upright from the cold ground.

"What the..." In his excitement, Si Kongxu nearly blurted out a profanity. As he regained his senses, he realized he was back in the space created by Ye Fei.

This space remained as breathtaking as ever. Gazing at the panoramic view of the universe, Si Kongxu felt like a god overlooking the entire starry sky every time he stood here. Indeed, there was a god here, but it wasn't him—it was a man named Ye Fei.

"I didn't expect you to return so quickly this time."

Suddenly, Ye Fei’s voice came from behind him. He was playing cosplay again, this time dressed as the Black Swordsman, Kirito. Si Kongxu felt that every time they met, he was wearing a different outfit.

"Sigh, I kicked the bucket this time while trying to save someone," Si Kongxu said with a wave of his hand and a dejected expression.

"To save Gao Yue?" Ye Fei asked.

"Huh? You can see what happens to me in the fantasy world?" Si Kongxu asked, surprised. If Ye Fei could really do that, it would be incredible.

"Not in my current state, but I can see your mission status and infer the rest from the plot."

Hearing this, Si Kongxu felt a bit deflated. If Ye Fei really had some kind of god’s-eye view, it would be huge if he could somehow establish contact with him while in the fantasy world!

"But you’ve managed to learn the Zongheng sword techniques of the Ghost Valley, right?" Ye Fei asked again.

"Yes, I’ve mastered the 'Hundred-Step Flying Sword' and 'Horizontal Penetration of All Directions'."

"That’s sufficient. That was my purpose in sending you to 'The Legend of Qin'. These two sword styles should be enough to help you transition through the Radiant Yellow rank, and they might even serve you well into the Azure Green rank."

"Azure Green rank..." Si Kongxu repeated slowly. The rank following Radiant Yellow was indeed Azure Green. Reaching that level meant one was already immensely powerful. The elite students of the Dawn Academy were generally at that level, though it was still far from enough to be considered one of the academy's top-tier students.

Dimensional Academy was merely an institution, a general term like "school." There were fewer than fifty such academies worldwide, and only five possessed the most formidable human resources, facilities, and overall strength.

The Dawn Academy, located in Jinling City, China, was one of these five most powerful institutions. A Radiant Yellow-ranked student like Si Kongxu would be cultivated as an elite elsewhere, but at Dawn Academy, even an average second-year student could reach that level.

"You should have reached the Radiant Yellow rank by now, right?" Ye Fei asked with a smile.

"Yes," Si Kongxu replied.

"Your Dimensional Summoning technique will be available again next week. Come see me then; I have a surprise for you."

"A surprise? What kind of surprise?" Upon hearing there was something good in store, Si Kongxu’s eyes lit up instantly.

"You'll know when the time comes," Ye Fei said with a mysterious grin.

"Right!" Suddenly, Si Kongxu remembered Mikasa. He wanted to ask if Ye Fei could arrange for her to be enrolled in the academy, as he only returned home once a week and she was quite lonely by herself.

He explained to Ye Fei that he had summoned Mikasa into the real world, but to his shock, the man’s expression shifted instantly!

"What? You summoned Mikasa? Using your Dimensional Summoning?!" Ye Fei grabbed Si Kongxu’s shoulders in agitation, muttering, "That’s impossible! If a character from another plane had descended here, I would have sensed it!"

That was the very reason he hadn't interfered with the boy's summoning talent before. Moreover, he had set up a barrier; typically, creatures from other planes couldn't just pass through. Could this boy’s contract summoning be a glitch?

Watching Ye Fei’s frantic behavior, Si Kongxu felt he had made a grave error and asked timidly, "Uh, is using the contract summoning really that serious?"

"It’s disastrous!" Ye Fei glared at him. "I established a powerful barrier around this world. Normally, no creature from another plane should be able to enter directly. But your contract summoning bypassed my barrier! We have a major problem now!"

"What kind of problem?" Si Kongxu asked.

"Back when I fought those entities from the other plane, the immense power unleashed by those formidable beings severely compromised the stability of our world. When I died, I intentionally set up a barrier to stabilize reality. If this barrier is damaged, the world’s instability could trigger a dimensional fracture!"

"Uh... what is a dimensional fracture?"

"It means different planes will overlap and collide." Ye Fei glared at him again, and seeing his blank expression, he sighed. "In layman's terms, other planes will interfere with ours. For example, the Lich King from World of Warcraft might descend here, or the Infinite Tsukuyomi from the Naruto world might affect us, or some random character from another plane might just pop out."

"Darn, that’s serious!" Upon hearing this, Si Kongxu jumped. He finally understood the danger. If some powerful, evil being were to descend, they would be doomed!

"However, it shouldn't be as dire as you imagine. My barrier isn't just for show. It will likely only trigger small-scale fractures, and given the nature of the barrier, it should only be the fantasy worlds—the 2D worlds—that interfere with us."

"I hope someone like Sora Kasugano comes through for me," Si Kongxu joked, lacking any sense of responsibility.

"Don't wake up one day to find the Nine-Tailed Fox in your front yard," Ye Fei retorted.

"So, does this mean I can't use my contract summoning anymore?" Suddenly, a serious thought occurred to him. If he couldn't use his ability... his dreams as a man would be... ruined!

Ye Fei glanced at him. While he envied Si Kongxu’s talent, as a predecessor among transmigrators, he felt obliged to lecture him. "Forget about using that talent for now. But..."

"But what?"

"Come see me in a week, and you'll find out." Ye Fei smiled. "Go on now. The dimensional academies around the world have likely already detected the dimensional fractures. You’re going to have your hands full."
