Chapter 51: Kanade Tachibana Receives a Confession
The break passed amidst the quarrels of Hinata and the others. As soon as the second exam began, Ye Chen swiftly answered all the questions and finished the paper in no time. He then turned his gaze toward Hinata and his friends. Indeed, he had completed the exam so quickly just to see what reckless antics they would attempt next.
From various clues, Ye Chen had already deduced the truth: Yuri and the others went to great lengths to swap seats, insisted on the order of collecting exam papers, and drew everyone's attention at the end—all of this must be connected to Kanade Tachibana's exam. There was no way their plan would end with just one test.
Sure enough, when the bell signaling the end of the second exam rang, a male teacher in a suit at the front of the classroom adjusted his glasses and said, "Alright, everyone pass your papers from the back to the front!"
"It's now or never!" Takamatsu, who had been pondering deeply with his chin in his hand, finally braced himself and stood up. Seeing Takamatsu’s movement, Ye Chen smiled, watching the scene unfold as if enjoying a show, thinking to himself, "Here it comes. Too bad I don't have popcorn."
"Is there something you need, student?" The NPC teacher pushed up his glasses, the light reflecting off the lenses and casting Takamatsu’s image, and asked in a deep voice.
"Teacher, actually I…" Takamatsu stood up straight and, in a lightning-fast motion, stripped off his shirt, revealing the muscular physique hidden beneath. Placing one foot on the desk, he proudly declared, "I’m the type who looks slim in clothes! What do you think!"
"Pfft!" Ye Chen, who had been lazily observing, burst out laughing at Takamatsu’s words. Are you sure you’re not just here for comic relief? What point does that statement even serve?
But the suited teacher seemed strangely provoked. He took off his glasses and likewise removed his shirt, displaying his own powerful muscles and eight-pack abs. "I see! You truly are that type. But my muscles are in no way inferior to yours. Look at these abs—they’re perfect. Let’s find a secluded spot later and have a proper chat; you seem like a kindred spirit. What’s your name, student?"
Seeing the teacher reveal his own muscles, Takamatsu was immediately moved, forgetting his mission entirely and wiping away tears as he replied, "My name is Takamatsu!"
"Takamatsu!" "Teacher!" "Takamatsu!" "Teacher!" The two looked deeply into each other’s eyes, calling out to one another as if they’d forgotten the setting. Unconsciously, they drew closer and closer. Yuri’s face darkened; what on earth is Takamatsu doing? Worse yet, despite this bizarre scene, most people continued about their business, completely ignoring them—so much for attracting everyone’s attention! Moreover, Takamatsu had already left his seat, making the jet propulsion utterly useless! She was on the verge of losing her mind, wishing she could pull out her pistol and put a hole in the heads of this nauseating teacher-student duo.
Most NPCs carried on with their own tasks, uninterested in watching the two. Only a handful of fujoshi watched eagerly, drooling with excitement.
"Bang! Bang!" Just as the pair were about to embrace, two heavy thuds resounded in the classroom, followed by the sound of two bodies hitting the floor. Kanade Tachibana stood beside them, calmly retracting her hands—it was clear she was responsible.
Kanade then grabbed each of them by the collar and dragged them out of the classroom, stating, "Takamatsu and Teacher, your improper attire in the classroom is damaging the school’s image and constitutes serious harassment of female students. Please come with me to the office for disciplinary action!"
Everyone watched as Kanade opened the door and dragged the pair out. Seeing the opportunity, Takebayashi swiftly swapped the exam papers. This round of their operation could be considered a successful completion.
"Really, what’s with Takamatsu? Does he actually think that would work? When he gets back, I’m going to kill him!" Yuri gritted her teeth, disgusted.
"Haha." Oyama chuckled dryly, "Well, at least this time we succeeded, thanks to the angel’s help. What’s the plan for the next exam?"
"Oh, right, next up is Oyama!" Yuri remembered to assign the next task.
"So it’s my turn after all! I don’t have any good ideas!" Oyama clutched his head in fear, feeling utterly helpless as an ordinary person.
"Oyama sits diagonally behind Angel, right? Isn’t that close? You can confess to Angel—just say, 'Please forgive me for being so impulsive, but I’ve always liked you. Please go out with me!' If you follow my suggestion, you won’t get launched into the air!" Yuri smiled wickedly. Oyama’s expression was one of pure despair.
The others thought Oyama’s task was easier than the previous ones, not even involving flying. "That’s pretty simple!"
This time, Oyama was so agitated he responded more dramatically than ever, tearfully protesting to Hinata, "Come on! Put yourself in my shoes! You guys only get hurt physically, but I’ll suffer psychological trauma! And Angel will definitely reject my first confession!"
"Heh, what a pure soul!"
Despite his protests, faced with the threat of colliding with the ceiling, Oyama gave in and agreed to try this method. As soon as the third exam ended, the NPC teacher instructed the students to pass forward their papers. Oyama stood up quickly, and from the back row Ye Chen knew another spectacle was about to unfold.
"Kanade! Please forgive my lack of decorum—I’ve always liked you! Please go out with me!" Oyama, eyes closed and face flushed, recited the well-memorized lines aloud. At the back, Ye Chen accidentally crushed a pen in his grip, prompting Shiina and Xiaobai beside him to ask, "What’s wrong?"
"I don’t know—just feeling inexplicably annoyed," Ye Chen said, clenching his fist, overcome by a sudden urge to teach someone a lesson.
Fortunately, Kanade responded coldly without even turning her head, "Then please choose an appropriate time and place first."
After being rejected, Oyama stood there, dejected, until the teacher at the podium told him, "You over there, sit down!"
"Alright," Oyama replied gloomily, slowly returning to his seat.
"Wow, he actually did it! I really admire him," Hinata laughed, tugging at his hair, then inexplicably launched into the air, spinning clockwise as he ascended. This time, Hinata’s head crashed straight into the ceiling, and after his chair flew away, he remained hanging from the ceiling.
Perhaps from too much excitement, Yuri forgot to press the buttons for Oyama and Takebayashi, causing all the operation team members’ chairs to take flight. Two heads ended up embedded deep in the ceiling, and with Takamatsu still absent, his empty chair bounced around the room. When it flew toward Ye Chen, he sliced it in half with a single stroke.
