“Young master, you’re awake? Do you need me to call the doctor again?” The sudden fainting earlier had nearly driven the butler to despair. With Young Master Ye Chen’s parents already gone, if anything were to happen to him as well, this man, whose only thought was loyalty, wouldn’t know what to do.

Upon seeing Ye Chen awake, he breathed a sigh of relief. Years of experience as a butler kept him composed, but his concern for Ye Chen’s condition was evident, and he was already planning to fetch the doctor once more.

What if something happens to your health? It’s best to have the doctor check you.”

Even though the previous examinations showed no problems and, with his years of experience, Fan judged Ye Chen’s state as mere sleep, his heart could not rest. It was a sign of anxious care, and given the good intentions, Ye Chen found it difficult to refuse.

Reluctantly, accompanied closely by Bai Ji and Fan, Ye Chen underwent a full afternoon of medical tests. After repeatedly confirming he was perfectly healthy, he was finally free from further examinations, his frustrated demeanor causing Bai Ji to chuckle quietly beside him.

“Butler Fan, could you help me gather information on Lihua Kanade, Shiina, and Dujima Yazi? I want to know their status. If possible, bringing them here would be even better.” Though new to this world, Ye Chen had fully assimilated his memories. Still, most matters required Fan’s assistance. The one thing he could rely on without doubt was Fan’s loyalty; otherwise, things would be far more complicated. Ruoxing and Ruocheng had done well in that regard.

Fan, currently managing most of the Star Group’s affairs on Ye Chen’s behalf, was well versed in intelligence matters. After hearing the names, he paused, as if recalling, then respectfully replied, “I’m sorry, Young Master Ye Chen, but I have no memory of a girl named Lihua Kanade. I will immediately dispatch someone to investigate. However, I am familiar with the other two.”

Fan continued, “Dujima Yazi is the most gifted heir of the Dujima family this generation. Only slightly older than you, Young Master, she has already mastered the ‘Sword’s Radiance.’ Her swordsmanship is exceptional, her demeanor calm, and she is humble with others. Among her peers, she is outstanding, though she harbors some bloodthirsty tendencies. I wonder if she is the person you mean.”

Initially disappointed at the lack of news regarding Lihua Kanade, Ye Chen’s eyes brightened upon hearing about Dujima Yazi. It seemed his inquiry was not in vain. He nodded and confirmed, “Yes, that’s her.”

With Ye Chen’s affirmation, Fan elaborated, “If all goes well, you should meet her by tomorrow. The Dujima family has served the Ye family as a warrior clan for generations, instilling strict loyalty in their descendants. There will be no betrayal. As the next heir, Dujima Yazi will be sent to stay with you for some time to become familiar with her lord and to protect your safety.”

“Though the timing isn’t ideal now, the Dujima family would not object. They would be more than willing for their heir to spend time growing up alongside you. If you’re eager, she could arrive today.”

True to his exceptional role as butler, Fan was meticulous, ending with a precise inquiry.

“No need,” Ye Chen declined, shaking his head. “Though I look forward to meeting her, knowing her situation for now is enough. Tomorrow will suffice. What about Shiina?”

After refusing Fan’s suggestion to rush, his concern turned to Shiina, his first subordinate.

“I do recall someone named Shiina, though I’m not certain if she is the one, Young Master,” Fan hesitated before speaking. “Her name is Shiina Eri, a ninja girl secretly trained by the Ye family since childhood. She’s about your age now, with outstanding talent in combat and assassination, and unwavering loyalty. She’s always seen with a long scarf around her neck and seems to have no resistance to cute things.” He added that her location was far from here, but if notified, she could arrive by tomorrow.

Hearing that she was fond of cute things, Ye Chen immediately knew Fan meant the Shiina he knew. Having received news of both, he smiled and said, “Then please arrange for both of them to come here, Butler Fan.”

“Yes, Young Master.” Though he didn’t understand how Ye Chen knew of these two or why he suddenly wanted to meet them, these details were not his concern. His sole duty was to obey the young master’s orders and ensure his safety.

Fan swiftly handled the arrangements. Such matters did not require his personal involvement; a few trusted men were sent to bring Dujima Yazi and Shiina Eri over. Returning to Ye Chen’s side, he watched the intimacy and easy conversation between Ye Chen and Bai Ji and felt pleased.

Still, he approached to interrupt, knowing this issue awaited them inevitably. “Young Master, since the death of the master and mistress, some within the Star Group have grown restless. Shall I eliminate them all?”

Usually composed, calm, and even kind-hearted, Fan’s eyes now gleamed coldly, sharp with decisiveness and ruthlessness. This was aimed solely at those who posed a threat to Ye Chen. Recently, he had been too occupied with the deaths of Ye Chen’s parents and Ye Chen’s fainting to attend to such matters.

Now that he was free, Fan wished to make these troublemakers pay their due and remind others that the Star Group was not theirs to covet. Yet many of these individuals were high-ranking insiders, and dealing with them might weaken the company’s overall strength.

“No need,” Ye Chen shook his head. He paid them no mind, but knowing such issues would arise often in the future, he resolved to face them himself. For matters beyond his knowledge, he could always rely on this experienced butler. Confident in his own learning ability, Ye Chen believed he would soon handle these affairs adeptly and with ease.

“Young Master, do you intend to manage the group personally?” Fan asked, surprised, though Ye Chen’s youth was indeed a consideration.
