Regarding the settings for the Fate Gear interface and runes
Regarding the “rune” system that some readers are particularly interested in, here’s a brief explanation.
First, Definition of Runes: Put simply, runes are a type of experience value for Fategear with specific attributes. When Fategear is equipped with runes, it gains attribute bonuses from them. Once all rune slots are filled, the Fategear can trigger an advancement.
Second, Rune Circuits: Similar to the “Runeword” system in Diablo, a “Rune Circuit” is formed based on a Rune Circuit Core. Only one set of rune circuits can exist in the rune slots at any given time.
Third, Fategear Advancement: As explained above, when all rune slots of a Fategear are filled, advancement is triggered. At this point, the Fategear “consumes” the current runes and permanently integrates their effects, freeing up the rune slots afterward. (For example—Zhou Yan’s Fategear has advanced three times, solidifying the effects of the “Persistence,” “Absorption,” and “Unbreakable” circuits, as well as various basic attribute rune effects used during the process. His Fategear now has four available rune slots filled, one of which is “Concealment.” When the requirements are met, this Concealment rune will also take effect, making four active circuits.)
