Chapter Ninety-Four: Harvest
Liu Feng’s fist shot forward like a meteor, swift as lightning, arriving at the chest of the man in black in an instant. The man in black shifted ever so slightly, and dozens of ghostly afterimages appeared, allowing him to evade Liu Feng’s punch with ease.
“Rising Dragon!” Liu Feng watched the man in black, his silhouette flickering rapidly. With a shout, he unleashed the Rising Dragon technique. Instantly, his speed surged; columns of dragon-shaped energy flickered through the air, chasing after the man in black.
“This kid’s physique is monstrous, but even his speed is extraordinary. Who exactly is he?” The man in black had assumed his speed would leave Liu Feng behind, yet Liu Feng remained hot on his heels, surprising him.
“Xiaofeng, be careful! He’s a master of the Unity Realm. Had he not been wounded before, we would have perished at his hands already,” Zhao Xu called out, warning Liu Feng.
“A Unity Realm master… this is troublesome,” Liu Feng thought to himself. He recalled the academy’s descriptions of Unity Realm masters: in this realm, true energy and soul power gradually merge, mastery over spatial power becomes profound, and one can use spiritual force, ambient energy, and true energy to condense a formidable battle avatar, vastly increasing destructive power.
Yet Liu Feng wondered why, if this man had reached the Unity Realm, he had not yet summoned a battle avatar.
“You dare to lose focus in the midst of battle? You must be tired of living,” the man in black said coldly. Suddenly, Liu Feng felt a tremendous force crash into his chest, sending him reeling backward.
The man in black would never give his opponent time to catch their breath. He darted after Liu Feng’s retreating figure and struck out with his palm.
Liu Feng sensed immense pressure bearing down on him, as if the spatial power around him was compressing inward; his body felt crushed beneath a mountain, making movement difficult.
Bang!
The man in black’s palm landed solidly on Liu Feng’s body. Heat surged within Liu Feng, blood spurted from his mouth, and he was sent hurtling backward.
“Damn it!” Zhao Xu and Wang Rui’s uncle watched as the man in black attacked Liu Feng again. Despite their serious injuries, they could not stand idly by as Liu Feng was pummeled.
Both men stomped the ground, their bodies flying forward to attack the man in black. Their wild force crashed like stormy waves, blocking the man in black’s double palms.
Bang!
True energy collided between the three, erupting with a deafening roar. The fierce power blasted in all directions, pulverizing everything nearby and creating a massive crater in the ground, raising a cloud of dust.
“You old fools, do you have a death wish? Even after suffering such heavy injuries, you still dare to show off.” The man in black watched the two spit blood and retreat, and said coldly, “Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll oblige you.”
With that, he flashed forward, appearing before Zhao Xu and Wang Rui’s uncle, his palms pounding down with volcanic force, landing heavily on one of them.
Before the man in black could revel in his success, he suddenly felt a powerful suction pulling at him. His true energy surged uncontrollably outward, half of it drained in the blink of an eye.
Liu Feng secretly breathed a sigh of relief. At the critical moment, he had used the Rising Dragon technique to appear before Zhao Xu and Wang Rui’s uncle, blocking the man in black’s attack for them.
He had expected to be gravely injured, but instead, the man in black’s palm struck directly onto the mysterious beast hide he wore. A powerful suction erupted from the hide, pulling all the force into its spatial domain.
“You brat! What sorcery did you use to drain so much of my true energy?” The man in black, feeling his strength wane, cried out in alarm.
“You’ve committed countless evil deeds, your death is well deserved. This is Heaven’s punishment,” Liu Feng replied coldly. He punched, shattering the man in black’s skull, and his corpse collapsed to the ground.
“Xiaofeng, thank goodness you’re safe. Seeing you step forward to block the Sect Master of the Hundred Venoms Gate scared me out of my wits,” Zhao Xu said, still shaken.
Liu Feng merely smiled calmly at Zhao Xu’s words.
Then, with a solemn expression, he said, “Grandfather, we should hurry and eradicate the last remnants of the Hundred Venoms Gate, lest they continue to poison others.”
“These people are wicked to the core. They often attack the major families in South State City to seize their businesses. Over the years, dozens from our Zhao family alone have died at their hands. People like them have no place in this world,” Zhao Xu said through gritted teeth.
“What are we waiting for? Let’s wipe them out,” Wang Rui’s uncle said, flashing forward and striking out at the disciples of the Hundred Venoms Gate. In an instant, more than ten fell dead by his hand.
Liu Feng and Zhao Xu also charged ahead, swiftly dispatching their enemies.
Under the assault of these masters, the strength of the Hundred Venoms Gate rapidly collapsed. An hour later, the sect was utterly annihilated.
“Let’s go to the Hundred Venoms Gate’s storeroom and see what treasures they’ve hidden,” Zhao Xu said, having learned the location of their secret vault from searching the mind of a disciple. The group set out toward that place.
At this moment, the uncle of the Song family’s patriarch hurried over from nearby and called out loudly, “Old Wang, Old Zhao, where are you going?”
“To the Hundred Venoms Gate’s secret room, of course. It should be full of treasures,” Zhao Xu replied without hiding their intent.
“Well, all this effort wasn’t in vain after all—now we get some benefits,” they laughed as they headed inside together.
They passed through the main hall of the sect, walked several dozen meters, and at the residence of the sect master, opened a secret passage leading underground—the place where the Hundred Venoms Gate stored its valuables.
Liu Feng, holding a torch, led the way down into the chamber, with Zhao Xu and the others following behind. After descending a hundred steps, their eyes suddenly brightened as a spacious room appeared before them.
“So many spirit stones! The Hundred Venoms Gate was truly wealthy,” Zhao Xu exclaimed, opening several large chests and seeing a dim glow emanating from within—spirit stones neatly arranged.
“Qi Gathering Pills—there must be hundreds of thousands here,” the uncle of the Song family’s patriarch said, opening several green gourds that released a strong medicinal fragrance; all were filled with mid-grade Qi Gathering Pills.
They looked around and found many weapons, all gleaming coldly, clearly not ordinary items.
“Well, once our three families split these, our fortunes will soar,” Wang Rui’s uncle said happily.
