Chapter 130: Tom, Dick, and Harry
“Damn it! You people are being utterly unreasonable.” With that, Wang Xing struck forward with his palm.
“Bang!”
Wang Xing’s fist collided with the man’s, unleashing a tremendous crash. The impact sent Wang Xing staggering backward again and again.
“With strength that pathetic, you still dare to swagger around here? You’re making a fool of yourself,” the man said mockingly after knocking Wang Xing back with a single punch.
“Exactly! With such trash for strength, you still dare interfere in our affairs. You really don’t know your own limits,” another man sneered.
“You...” Wang Xing had already felt humiliated after being forced back. Now, hearing their taunts, his face flushed with rage.
“What? You still want to fight? I advise you to abandon that thought, unless you want to suffer for it,” the man who had repelled him said contemptuously.
“I’ll fight you to the bitter end.” Wang Xing was about to attack again.
“Wang Xing, come back. Stop wasting your time on these clowns,” Zhang Liang called from the side.
“But they’re slandering Liu Feng. I can’t just stand by and watch,” Wang Xing said indignantly.
Zhao Jun said calmly, “Wang Xing, if a dog barked at you, would you really run over and argue with it? They can’t understand human speech, so why waste your breath?”
“Hahaha! You’re absolutely right, Zhao Jun. Why should I lower myself to the level of dogs?” Wang Xing burst out laughing and returned to his seat.
“Who are you? How dare you compare us to dogs? You truly have a death wish,” said the man who had fought Wang Xing, his face darkening.
“You people really are begging for death! Do you understand that? You dare call us dogs? Now we’ll beat you into dogs!” Another man’s expression grew so dark it seemed water might drip from it.
“Junior Brother, why waste so many words on them? Just attack.” As he spoke, the man walked straight toward Liu Feng’s table.
“Haha! I knew you came here looking for trouble. Why bother making excuses?” Zhao Jun mocked as he looked at them.
“Seeking death!”
The men who had slandered Liu Feng all rose to their feet and attacked him and the others.
“Let me see what you’re capable of.” Zhao Jun stood up and prepared to fight.
“Let me handle this. They slandered me, so I’ll teach them a lesson.” With that, Liu Feng rose to his feet.
The men drew their swords and blades and charged together.
Liu Feng watched their attacks with a mocking smile. Then he extended his right fist. His golden fist tore through the air like a meteor, smashing toward them.
“Bang, bang...”
Liu Feng’s fist collided rapidly with their attacks. After several crisp cracks, every sword and blade in their hands was shattered by his fist.
His right fist shot out once more. Amid a succession of cries, the men were sent tumbling across the floor like rolling gourds.
“Pathetic.”
“Worthless trash.”
“Ugh! What a disgrace!”
As Zhao Jun, Zhang Liang, and Wang Xing watched the men scramble helplessly across the ground after being beaten by Liu Feng, they each chimed in with mocking remarks.
“Just wait. Someone will come and deal with you,” the men snarled before fleeing in embarrassment.
“The people from the Tianchen Kingdom are so narrow-minded. They failed to take first place, so they actually sent people here to slander Liu Feng. Such childish behavior is truly laughable,” Zhao Bochao said, shaking his head.
“Childish or not, what they said was still infuriating,” Wang Xing replied.
“All right, forget about them. We shouldn’t waste this excellent food and wine,” Liu Feng said indifferently.
“Right. Hopefully those annoying flies won’t come back.”
“Drink. Come on, drink.”
Liu Feng and the others repeatedly raised their cups, drinking and eating to their hearts’ content.
“Who injured my disciples? Step forward at once.”
Just as they were drinking and dining, a voice suddenly rang out from downstairs. Two middle-aged men then came up the stairs.
Behind them followed the two men Liu Feng had injured. When they saw Liu Feng, hatred flashed in their eyes.
“Master, they’re the ones who injured us,” one of them said, pointing at Liu Feng and the others.
One of the middle-aged men, slightly tall and dressed in blue, walked up to their table and glared at them.
“Why did you injure my disciples for no reason? You people are far too unreasonable.”
“Senior, perhaps you should first ask your disciples what they did,” Zhao Jun replied calmly.
“Oh? Wu Ling, what exactly did you do?” The middle-aged man turned and asked.
“We didn’t do anything. We merely expressed our opinions. We never expected them to come looking for trouble,” the man named Wu Ling stammered.
“My disciple has already said that they did nothing excessive. You injured him so badly—shouldn’t you give me an explanation?” After hearing Wu Ling’s words, the middle-aged man looked at Liu Feng and the others, his expression darkening.
“They slandered Liu Feng’s reputation for no reason. We couldn’t stand by and watch, so we went to reason with them. Instead, they attacked us first. We were angered beyond endurance and had no choice but to teach them a lesson,” Zhao Bochao explained.
“All I see is that none of you are injured, while they have been seriously hurt. What do you intend to do about that?” the middle-aged man demanded menacingly.
“You’re being unreasonable. We weren’t injured because we’re stronger than they are. If our strength had been inferior, they would have beaten us even more severely,” Zhang Liang said angrily.
“Since you refuse to resolve this peacefully, I have no choice but to take you into custody myself.” As he spoke, the middle-aged man curled the fingers of his right hand into claws and reached toward Zhao Jun.
“You’re being utterly unreasonable. Since you attacked first, I won’t simply sit here and wait to be captured,” Zhao Jun said furiously. As the man’s clawed hand came toward him, he clenched his right fist and struck out.
“Bang!”
The two attacks collided. Zhao Jun was immediately forced back seven or eight steps before managing to steady himself, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
After injuring Zhao Jun with a single move, the middle-aged man did not stop. He extended his right hand again and swiftly reached for Zhao Jun.
“You’re going too far!” Zhao Bochao shouted. He thrust both palms forward, meeting the middle-aged man’s claw.
“Bang!”
A deafening collision rang out. Zhao Bochao’s body swayed, and he was forced back two steps.
“Not bad, youngster. Take another move from me.” The middle-aged man swung his right palm and struck toward Zhao Bochao once more.
“Leave this to me!”
Liu Feng flashed forward and stepped in front of Zhao Bochao. Then his right fist erupted with ferocious force. Brilliant light surrounded his fist like a falling meteor as it crashed toward the middle-aged man’s palm with thunderous momentum.
“Rumble!”
The two violent forces collided, erupting with a deafening roar. A berserk shockwave spread outward from the two men, shattering the nearby tables and chairs. Wine and food spilled all over the floor.
The middle-aged man was also forced backward by the savage power of Liu Feng’s punch. His expression changed as he stared at Liu Feng, his eyes filled with astonishment.
