Baiguo was merely a Dawn Warrior, three ranks below Chaofeng and a full four ranks beneath Kuzhan. This was no ordinary difference in levels. From the stage of Ming Martial Ancestor, that is, the Demon General, the gap between ranks became exceedingly severe—a single rank difference was as vast as heaven and earth!

Jiang Feng could strike a deal with Kuzhan because he had previously controlled Zhezhi, gaining the advantage of two lifeseeds. Baiguo, on the other hand, managed to control both men through her own dance and song.

What kind of power was this?

Yet it was clear that Baiguo herself was not in a normal state. She had completely lost self-awareness, as if in the entire world, singing and dancing were the only things left to do.

Meanwhile, the demonic energy on the Changchuan River grew denser and began swirling like a vortex, spinning faster and faster—the demonic fissure was about to emerge!

Initially, Jiang Feng had some hope pinned on Huasu and Gan Fuxing, but now he had completely abandoned such thoughts. Huasu and the others had yet to appear, surely delayed by something. He had to rely on himself alone!

With a determined grit, he consciously began to accelerate the rotation of the Heavenly Heart Seed!

He found that under his current condition, his control over the Heavenly Heart Seed had become more fluid. At his command, the seed spun faster, and the surrounding demonic energy surged into his body like a great whale drinking from the water.

Originally, inside the Heavenly Heart Seed, the bright energy and demonic energy had reached a balance, but now, as the demonic energy increased, the bright energy became somewhat unbalanced.

Something interesting happened.

Baiguo’s singing and dancing influence continued.

The demonic energy entering the Heavenly Heart Seed lost its ferocity, becoming as obedient as a dog. The bright energy graciously accepted this foreign presence, continuously adjusting itself to accommodate it.

But as the demonic energy swelled beyond capacity, the Heavenly Heart Seed began to struggle to contain it.

At this moment, the demonic energy started to mimic the Heavenly Heart Seed. Opposite the original branch, a bulge appeared, growing larger until it burst open with a “pop”!

A brand-new branch appeared!

The demonic energy rapidly filled this new branch, pushing it to grow.

This new branch was identical to the previous one, except it was black in color. It kept growing forward until, at a certain point, it suddenly paused. Then, from one end, another bulge formed, gradually enlarging, and moments later, it burst open again, revealing a new core, extending forward once more.

The surrounding demonic energy was completely absorbed by Jiang Feng, while the demonic energy on the Changchuan River surged, rushing over to fill the emptied space.

As if sensing something, Baiguo’s singing suddenly rose an octave, from a low hum to a high, clear tone soaring into the sky.

The clouds above swiftly dispersed, revealing a bright white moon. The full moon slowly moved directly above Jiang Feng’s head, then a beam of moonlight descended from the heavens, shining down onto his crown.

With the moon at its peak, the third cultivation period of the day arrived!

A pure stream of bright energy flowed into the Heavenly Heart Seed, once again balancing against the ever-expanding demonic energy.

Within the song, bright energy and demonic energy intertwined endlessly, growing in harmony. Jiang Feng gazed inward at his body, feeling, for the first time in his life, an unprecedented ease.

He suddenly realized this was the most natural and reasonable state.

The Heavenly Heart Seed was never just a bright heart seed; it was designed not only to absorb bright energy but also to accommodate demonic energy—the so-called “dark bright energy” in legend.

Only when these two forces combined did the Heavenly Heart Seed reach its most complete form.

Jiang Feng had grown up in the human world, initially exposed only to bright energy, so the Heavenly Heart Seed had behaved like an enhanced version of a bright heart seed. But in truth, it was meant to absorb both energies simultaneously and maintain their balance.

At this time, it was actually thanks to Baiguo. Although no one understood her true condition, her current singing and dancing greatly aided Jiang Feng.

Her innate coordination and soothing power tempered the originally wild dark bright energy, making it gentle, and also prevented the bright energy from resisting this utterly opposite force. Otherwise, the bright energy inside Jiang Feng would have grown too strong for the dark bright energy to develop normally.

Baiguo’s voice soared higher and higher, and her dance grew ever more intense.

Kuzhan and Chaofeng, standing before her, likewise matched her movements with increasing vigor, utterly lost in the moment.

Suddenly, Baiguo’s dance and song stopped simultaneously! In an instant, she collapsed like a puppet whose spring had been abruptly unwound.

Kuzhan and Chaofeng jolted awake, staring at each other in confusion, completely unsure of what had just happened.

Then memories flooded back like a tidal wave—they recalled everything that had just occurred!

Chaofeng stared at Baiguo in shock, exclaiming, “Descendant of the Celestial Dancer!”

Celestial Dancer? What was that?

A look of wild joy appeared on Chaofeng’s face. Standing close to Baiguo, he reached out to grab her.

Kuzhan acted in unison, both seizing Baiguo simultaneously, then releasing her and performing a swift maneuver above her body.

Clearly, the descendant of the Celestial Dancer was incredibly precious, and both desired to possess her!

Jiang Feng was alarmed. Baiguo was Gan Fuxing’s disciple, here for his sake. He would never allow her to be taken away!

Disregarding the ongoing infusion of demonic and bright energy into his body, he leapt up and rushed to Baiguo’s side.

Without Baiguo’s calming song and dance, and startled by his sudden movement, the demonic and bright energies inside the Heavenly Heart Seed became frenzied, crashing like giant waves, sending tremors through Jiang Feng’s chest and making his head spin.

He felt discomfort in his nose; wiping his face, he clearly saw blood on his hand.

In such a short time, he had already been injured.

But now, he had no time to care. He reached Baiguo, draping half his body over her.

Kuzhan lunged to grab Baiguo, but a claw caught his shoulder, causing him to freeze.

Jiang Feng turned his head and shouted, “The bloodline of the Celestial Dancer—is it more important than the two lifeseeds?”

This startled Kuzhan. Indeed, the Celestial Dancer bloodline was significant to him, but no matter what, it couldn’t compare to the lifeseeds, which were the foundation of life and power.

He clicked his tongue, gave up on Baiguo, and lunged toward the demonic fissure.

This time, his intent was clear: to seal the demonic fissure. Chaofeng had come precisely to prevent him from doing so. Yet before him now stood Jiang Feng and Baiguo.

A young warrior capable of absorbing demonic energy; a descendant of the Celestial Dancer—either one was priceless.

He gritted his teeth, ignoring Kuzhan, and turned to Jiang Feng with a savage grin. “You two, obediently come with me!”

The demonic fissure was about to open, the surrounding demonic energy thick and overwhelming; the moon was at its zenith, sending down pure and dense bright energy. Both flowed into the Heavenly Heart Seed, colliding violently—not peacefully as before, but like mortal enemies determined to settle their score.

The Heavenly Heart Seed was battered continuously, nearing its limit. It trembled violently, showing signs of fracturing.

The Celestial Mechanism Cube, hidden deep within, was completely unable to emerge.

The trembling of the Heavenly Heart Seed affected Jiang Feng’s body. Like Baiguo before, blood seeped from his seven orifices, and blood strands oozed from his pores, painting a terrifying picture.

Chaofeng looked down at him with a disappointed shake of his head. “Tsk. So it’s still no good. But thankfully, there’s still a Celestial Dancer…”

The Heavenly Heart Seed teetered on the edge of collapse. At that moment, a golden bloodline beneath it seemed to sense something amiss and began to move slowly.

Jiang Feng didn’t know what this golden bloodline was, but undoubtedly, it was his greatest trump card. As it stirred, the bright and demonic energies within the Heavenly Heart Seed appeared suppressed, calming down.

Once tangled together, they now slowed their rotation, gradually spinning back into the Ouroboros-like form they had before.

At that moment, Chaofeng was about to overturn Jiang Feng and seize Baiguo beneath him, but Jiang Feng suddenly lifted his head, locking eyes with him!

Chaofeng’s movements stiffened, his eyes seemingly captured by Jiang Feng’s gaze, unable to look away.

In that instant, Jiang Feng’s pupils were extraordinary: composed of gold and black, distinct yet blending, slowly rotating. Two golden dots adorned the upper end, seeming both to mend and to suppress.

Jiang Feng rose slowly, and with every inch he lifted, Chaofeng sank lower.

Chaofeng felt as if he stood atop an endless peak, gazing up at the sky—boundless heavens and limitless earth. The grandeur of the cosmos pressed down upon him, silencing him and suffocating his breath.

With a thud, he dropped to his knees, bowing before Jiang Feng, his body trembling violently, as if two conflicting wills struggled desperately within his heart.

Finally, Jiang Feng fully moved his upper body away from Baiguo, sitting upright against a tree, while Chaofeng knelt before him like the most loyal subject.

Suddenly, the air tightened with an inexplicable tension, stretched to its breaking point like a rubber band snapping.

In an instant, a tremendous force erupted on the surface of the Changchuan River!

Beneath the moonlight, a deep, dark black spot appeared. This spot expanded at an astonishing rate, doubling in power with each passing breath.

Within its depths, something even darker churned, poised to burst forth at any moment.

The demonic fissure!

Unnoticed, time had passed. The resonance of the other eleven demonic fissures reached its peak, and the fissure began to reopen!

At the moment the “rubber band snapped,” deep within Jiang Feng’s heart, the Heavenly Heart Seed thumped heavily, ringing out like a grand gong and drum. The Celestial Mechanism Cube suddenly appeared, transforming the sound into data and absorbing it!

Jiang Feng swiftly turned his gaze toward the demonic fissure.

The instant it opened, thousands of demons surged forth, instantly overwhelming Kuzhan ahead.

This demonic fissure opening was far greater in scale than the last!
