Where is this...
Why is it pitch-black...
It seems to be raining, with wind howling...
And there are two colossal dragons...

"Kashinshita, the new world is about to descend..." one of the azure dragons roared in a hoarse voice. Its wings were as vast as the clouds hanging from the sky, and fierce currents swirled around it.

Kashinshita?
That name feels strangely familiar...
Was it that blue dragon?

"Athvotan, you and I shall soon fade as well..." The blue dragon beat its enormous wings, and the heavens seemed to split open, pouring down a relentless torrent.

Athvotan?
That is familiar too...

"Do you regret it? Ending Karendis with your own hands..." Athvotan asked. "You were twin siblings, after all..."

Karendis?
Isn't that the God of the Black Dragon?
And what do twin siblings have to do with this?

"I did regret it..." Kashinshita paused. "But for the sake of the entire new world... it is all worth it..."

A new world...
What is that?

"So be it..." Athvotan murmured, his great wings slowly drooping.

"How should the sin left behind by this world be resolved?" Kashinshita asked.

"Leave it to those who come after! Every age will have its own light..." Athvotan's body gradually began to fade. "I shall call them—"

"Heroes!"

Suddenly, a sharp pain stabbed through Mo Xing's head. The scene before him vanished completely, and a shaft of light pierced his eyes.

Mo Xing slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying in a bed. The surroundings were clearly inside a tent.

So it was just a dream...

"You finally woke up."

Mo Xing looked toward the sound and saw someone lift the curtain and step inside.

"Doctor Bai? What are you doing here?"

Though the other man wore a mask, Mo Xing still recognized him.

"It has been six days since you lost consciousness and woke up now. A lot has happened in the meantime." Doctor Bai held up a clipboard and wrote something on it.

"Six days? I was unconscious for that long?" Mo Xing said in surprise. He only remembered that night, fighting desperately alongside the others against Wolfblade King, and then being sent flying aside by Wolfblade King before losing consciousness. He had no idea what happened after that.

"Yes, you were out for quite a while." Doctor Bai nodded.

"Then what about the others? How are they?" Mo Xing asked anxiously, praying inwardly.

"The others? Who are you referring to?" Doctor Bai narrowed his eyes. "I’m responsible for many injured people every day. Give me a name."

"Shi... Shiyan!" Mo Xing said hurriedly. "Where is she? How is she now?"

"Shiyan?" Doctor Bai frowned slightly. "She seems to have gone to the front lines."

"The front lines?" Mo Xing was bewildered.

"Moon-Shadow Dragon City." Doctor Bai nodded. "It’s the stronghold where all the dragonfolk have gathered."

"What? Moon-Shadow Dragon City? Why would she go there?" Mo Xing blinked. "What exactly happened during these six days?"

"That starts with the incident six days ago." Doctor Bai paused. "A portion of the dragonfolk sealed off the road at the southern end of Dragon Song Gorge, preparing for a full-scale assault on Riverwave Academy."

"However, something strange happened. The next day, scouts discovered that the dragonfolk had withdrawn entirely." Doctor Bai said, "You probably won’t guess why."

"Why?"

Mo Xing scratched his head, thinking, Doctor Bai, could you stop dragging this out and just say it already?

"All because of a beam of azure light that night." Doctor Bai said.

"Azure light?" Mo Xing asked, puzzled.

"Yes. In the middle of the night, an azure radiance illuminated the entire sky. All the clouds were blown apart, it was raining, and the wind kept howling." Doctor Bai described it.

"An azure light appeared. From a certain biological perspective, that was an abnormal phenomenon." Doctor Bai added, "And that azure light lasted for an entire day. It was far too strange."

"I see..." Mo Xing scratched his head, suddenly recalling the scene from his dream. "Why does it sound so mysterious when you put it that way?"

"The spectacle was truly magnificent. Too bad you had already fainted and missed it; my words can’t describe it clearly." Doctor Bai shook his head.

"All right, all right. What happened after that?" Mo Xing asked.

"After that..." Doctor Bai loosened his grip on the pen. "Riverwave Academy joined forces with the other academies to counterattack the dragonfolk, pushing them all the way back to their stronghold—Moon-Shadow Dragon City."

"Tonight, they plan to break into Moon-Shadow Dragon City." Doctor Bai said.

"Sounds like things are going fairly smoothly..." Mo Xing nodded.

"I wouldn’t say that. There are still quite a lot of wounded being sent back to the rear every day." Doctor Bai smiled. "Fortunately, the medical staff and facilities are fairly complete. We’ve managed to pull many people back from death’s grasp."

"Oh, right. Someone asked me to give you this storage wristband." Doctor Bai took a wristband made of black crystal stone from his pocket and placed it on the table beside him. "I still have things to do, so I’ll go first. Remember to eat on time."

With that, Doctor Bai swept up his sleeves and turned to leave.

"Wait! Who gave you that storage wristband?" Mo Xing wanted to call out to him, but Doctor Bai was already running out without looking back.

"Sigh, honestly."

Mo Xing helplessly shrugged. The medical profession was indeed terribly busy when things got hectic, so he said nothing more and instead examined the black crystal wristband on the table.

In this world, storage rings and storage wristbands were much like the spatial rings and spatial bracelets in fantasy novels. Besides being aesthetically elegant and decorative, they contained an internal fabricated space for storage.

In other words, compact yet powerful.

The better the color and luster, the higher the quality of the storage wristband, and this black crystal wristband was definitely a fine piece!

Setting aside who gave it to him, the contents alone were enough to pique his curiosity.

Mo Xing put on the wristband and touched it with his finger. A great heap of food suddenly sprang out, quickly piling up like a mountain on the floor.

"What the... so much food!" Mo Xing exclaimed. The only person he could think of who would pile up this much food was—

Wu Dance!

At that moment, a sheet of paper floated down from the air. Mo Xing caught it in one hand and slowly unfolded it. Written on it in somewhat clumsy small characters was:

"When you see this note, proceed immediately to Moon-Shadow Dragon City and rendezvous with us."

...

Moon-Shadow Dragon City.

The sun was setting, and the surrounding scene was desolate. Trees knelt in ruin, withered vines looked like mortally ill patients in their last struggle, and a few crows let out harsh, mournful cries, deepening the sense of desolation. It seemed as though some great disaster or catastrophe was about to occur.

On a small hill not far from the city gate stood a neat formation. At its head was a burly man clad in red armor, holding tightly a crimson battle axe. His red hair was shaved on one side and tied back.

His entire red ensemble matched his temperament perfectly, and his strength was nothing to underestimate.

He was Gadiges, the ace student of Crimson Moon Academy!

"Senior Gadige!"

Someone hurried over.

"What is it?" Gadiges asked without turning his head, his gaze still fixed on Moon-Shadow Dragon City beneath the sunset.

"Special situation! A junior sister discovered a wandering man nearby! For safety’s sake, we detained him."

"Bring him up here." Gadiges still did not turn around, as if he found such matters unremarkable.

"Yes, bring him up!" the man called out.

The crowd immediately parted to make a path. Two people were holding down a man—Mo Xing—whose face was filled with helplessness.

"I’m really not a bad guy! Why are you arresting me?"

"Who are you?" Gadiges asked with his back to him.

"I... I’m Mo Xing from Holy Sky Royal Academy!" the captured man explained.

"Where is your student ID?" Gadiges asked.

"I didn’t bring it!" Mo Xing said.

"Execute him." Gadiges snapped his fingers.

"Yes!" came the response from behind.

"Hey, hey? That’s too much, isn’t it?" Mo Xing said with a bitter smile. He had followed the map on the ring all the way here, only to be caught by this strange group of people?

That was just tragic.

"You cannot prove your identity," Gadiges said.

"I can prove it."

A clear female voice came from beside them. Everyone looked over, and even Gadiges slightly turned his head. A girl with short-to-medium-length hair walked up.

"Or... Orange?" Mo Xing looked up, memories flashing through his mind: a meal a few weeks ago with himself, the great Zhang Zhihao, Xia Ningxin, and Orange.

At the moment, Orange wore battle armor, still as beautiful as ever.

"He really is Mo Xing from Holy Sky Royal Academy." Orange nodded in confirmation.

"Is that so?" Gadiges turned and barked, "Let him down."

The people beside him instantly let go, and Mo Xing nearly fell flat on his face, only barely regaining his balance with both hands.

"What is someone from Holy Sky Royal Academy doing running over to our side?" Gadiges glanced at Mo Xing.

That glance made Mo Xing break out in goosebumps. The killing intent was far too heavy!

"I... I just came here according to the message in the envelope to provide support!" Mo Xing scratched his head. "Who knew I ran to the wrong place, and then you all caught me..."

"Are the elite students of Holy Sky Royal Academy always this inefficient in their actions?" Gadiges said with a smile.

"What? What do you mean?" Mo Xing’s face reddened. It felt as though he were being mocked.

"Nothing in particular." Gadiges shook his head. "It’s just that your academy is so large, yet the truly formidable students can be counted on one hand."

"..."

Mo Xing did not know what to say. He knew very well that he was talking about ace students like Zhang Zhihao and Xia Ningxin.

"All right. Mo Xing, contact one of your schoolmates first." Orange smiled. "See whether they can come and meet you."

"Sure, I’ll ask." Mo Xing touched the storage ring and opened the call function on the blue-and-white projection screen, dialing Wu Dance.

He had originally wanted to call Shiyan, but there were so many people nearby that it felt a little awkward...

Ahem...

"Hello? Mo Xing!" The call connected.

"Wu Dance, could you send a few people..." Mo Xing paused, thinking for a moment before remembering the name, "Send a few people to the Crimson Moon Academy side to pick me up."

"Huh?" Wu Dance on the other end sounded puzzled. "Aren’t you recuperating in the rear medical area? Why did you run over there?"

"Wait, didn’t you leave me a letter telling me to come provide support?" Mo Xing frowned, taking out the letter from earlier and waving it in front of the screen. "Isn’t this your handwriting?"

"No! It’s not me!" Wu Dance said, shaking his head. "Why would I write a letter like that!"

"Then... who wrote the letter..." Mo Xing could not help but break into a cold sweat.

Who was it?
