"Where are you, Xiaoxin?" Chengzi asked.

However, there was no response.

"It seems like no one is here..." Mo Xing muttered, looking around.

"I know. She's playing hide-and-seek again," Chengzi said, her right hand releasing a beam of golden light that instantly made the room much brighter.

"This... Is this the light element?" Mo Xing asked, somewhat surprised. Having been in this otherworld for so long, this was likely the first time he had ever witnessed the light element.

"Mhm," Chengzi nodded. "Help look for her, will you? She's right here in this room."

"Ah? How am I supposed to find her?" Mo Xing scratched his head. "There's only a feast right in front of me."

"I am right in front of you," a voice echoed through the air.

Mo Xing was momentarily stunned. If he were back in his original world, he would have thought it was haunted. Fortunately, this was another world, one with elemental magic and such concepts; otherwise, he would have been scared half to death.

"You're invisible, so how am I supposed to find you? This is too hard," Mo Xing said with a wry smile.

"Close your eyes and rely on your senses," Chengzi instructed.

"Huh?"

Though Mo Xing didn't understand why, he complied anyway.

He closed his eyes, held his breath, and took a slow, deep breath, allowing his mind to quiet down so he could perceive everything around him.

The sound of his own heartbeat...
A distinctive, delicate fragrance...
And the faint warmth carried by the flowing air...

This is it...

Mo Xing snapped his eyes open and discovered that Xia Ningxin was standing right in front of him!

"Three days apart, and your reflexes are still as poor as ever," Xia Ningxin said with a faint smile. "Classmate Mo Xing."

"Ah, you don't have to roast me like that!" Mo Xing laughed bitterly, though he knew his reactions were indeed a bit slow and rigid.

"Mo Xing, Xiaoning was just joking, don't take it to heart," Chengzi smiled and said.

"Not at all, not at all. I'm not the petty kind of person," Mo Xing quickly waved his hands.

"Let's eat. We can chat while we eat," Xia Ningxin turned around and walked back to her seat.

Only then did Mo Xing notice Xia Ningxin's attire. She wore a minimalist dress, her golden hair gathered into a bun and loosely pinned beside her ear with a pearl hairpin. The simplest of adornments only served to highlight her unique elegance.

"Xiaoning cooked this herself~ It tastes quite good," Chengzi followed her over.

"Is that so..." Mo Xing scratched his head. He never would have imagined that a wealthy young miss like Xia Ningxin could cook. Of course, he certainly couldn't voice such a blunt thought aloud, or he would definitely be beaten half to death.

Mo Xing sat down on a rosewood chair and looked at the culinary delights spread across the table.

Pineapple slices paired with seafood noodles, brushed with a layer of golden honey—it looked appetizing just from its presentation! Beside it was the mushroom pizza, sprinkled with tender chunks of meat that looked utterly tempting! And cheese! Sausage! Shrimp porridge! This was simply amazing!

"What are you standing there frozen for, classmate Mo Xing? Aren't you hungry?" Xia Ningxin asked coldly from the side.

"N—No, of course I'm hungry!" Mo Xing snapped out of his daze and scratched his head. "It's... It's my first time seeing such a lavish feast, I... I'm a bit overwhelmed and don't know where to start."

"It's fine, go ahead and eat," Chengzi smiled gently. "Just make yourself at home."

"O... Okay."

Mo Xing picked up a small bowl, hovered his hand in the air for a moment, and then reached for the pot of fish soup. Using a wooden ladle, he scooped up a bowl and began to sip it slowly.

The fish meat was tender, the broth was sour, fragrant, and savory, mildly spicy yet not greasy, and the fish fillets were tender and flavorful. Floating across the soup was a layer of bright red chili peppers, making the white fish slices look exceptionally tempting. Tucking a piece into his mouth, it was sour and tender, and the taste was simply ineffable.

It was way too delicious!

If not for maintaining table manners, he definitely would have devoured it in big mouthfuls. But the two young women before him ate with such elegance; he certainly couldn't lose his composure! Yet—

It was truly, unbelievably delicious!

"Where are you from?" Xia Ningxin asked.

"Me? I... I'm from Scarf Town," Mo Xing said, raising his head.

"Xiaoning is asking about your previous world," Chengzi added.

"P... Previous world?" Mo Xing was stunned. "Don't tell me you two are also from..."

"Mhm, just like you, Xiaoning and I both crossed over," Chengzi said.

"This..." Mo Xing was dumbfounded, his mind feeling as though it had been struck by something.

What?

Did he hear that right?

Chengzi and Xia Ningxin in front of him were just like him!
They were transmigrators!
Transmigrators who had come from that former world!

"No need to be so surprised," Xia Ningxin said. "We aren't the only transmigrators in this world."

"T... There are others?" Mo Xing asked in astonishment. The amount of information was too vast for him to process all at once.

"Everyone you've seen has crossed over from that former world," Chengzi nodded. "It's just that their memories were wiped."

"Goodness, that's terrifying..." Mo Xing took a deep breath. He had thought he was just an ordinary transmigrator, but it turned out there were hidden secrets behind it all. "Then how did we escape unscathed? Why weren't our memories wiped?"

"The Dragon God."

Xia Ningxin gave a simple answer.

"The Dragon God? Do you guys also host a Dragon God within you?" Mo Xing was shocked. Previously, the Water Dragon God Kasin had told him in his spiritual consciousness space to find a way to find the other Dragon Gods, and now he had finally found them!

"I'm a bit special; I only recovered my memories later. As for Xiaoning, she truly inherited the power of the Light Dragon Emperor," Chengzi explained.

"Light Dragon Emperor? The Five Primordial Creation Dragon Gods didn't have one like that, did they?" Mo Xing scratched his head, wondering why yet another new term had popped up.

"The Light Dragon Emperor was the very first ray of light born in Aslant after the Ancient War of the Gods," Chengzi paused. "The Light Dragon Emperor wields the power of the light element, symbolizing dawn and daybreak. It is because of this that the world gained vitality, land, and all living things. Later scholars, in gratitude to the Light Dragon Emperor, named this world after it."

"I—It's that powerful?" Mo Xing said.

"Haven't you studied modern Aslant history yet?" Xia Ningxin asked.

"Ah? Not yet!" Mo Xing shook his head.

"Why don't you go to the library and study on your own?" Xia Ningxin offered a calm smile.

"Uh..." Mo Xing was utterly baffled. Young Miss, are you deliberately trying to roast me? As expected of the iceberg queen, every word she speaks has thorns.

"Haha, it's fine. Keep it up, Mo Xing," Chengzi covered her mouth and laughed.

"By the way, what should I call you from now on?" Mo Xing asked.

"Just call me Chengzi, and call her Xiaoning or Lemon," Chengzi said.

"Got it." Mo Xing nodded. "Thanks a lot for saving me in the teaching building lobby last time, Lemon, or I would have been swamped by reporters!"

"Just a small favor," Xia Ningxin said indifferently, then picked up a piece of meat and placed it in her bowl.

"Speaking of which, you guys must be very close with the great Zhang Zhihao, right?" Mo Xing asked. He had previously heard others mention that the great Zhang Zhihao had a relatively close relationship with Xia Ningxin. Could she be the great one's mysterious girlfriend...

"I heard you mentioning me?"

A familiar voice suddenly popped up from behind, scaring Mo Xing so much he broke out in goosebumps. He turned his head, and it was none other than the great Zhang Zhihao himself!

"Gr... Great one! Why are you here too?" Mo Xing patted his chest to calm his nerves.

"We usually gather here on weekends," Zhang Zhihao patted the dust off his shoulders. "I just finished the student union recruitment work and flew over on my flying sword in a rush from the school side."

Mo Xing thought to himself: *Holy crap? Sword-flying? The great one is truly the great one! Becoming both a god and an immortal!*

"It's fine, no need to rush, the food is still warm!" Xia Ningxin's lips curved upward into a rare, genuine smile.

"Yeah, I've been keeping it warm with fire magic the whole time," Chengzi nodded.

"Thanks," Zhang Zhihao smiled faintly and took a seat right between Xia Ningxin and Mo Xing.

Mo Xing thought to himself that the great one was truly the great one: handsome, capable, intelligent, humble, and popular with the opposite sex. He was utterly envious!

That being said, since the three of them all knew each other, it meant the great Zhang Zhihao was also a transmigrator—talk about hiding one's true capabilities!

"Since everyone is here, let's eat and chat," Zhang Zhihao scooped a bowl of rice and placed it neatly in front of him.

"First of all, welcome Mo Xing to [FEIHUO]. From now on, you are a member of our transmigrator team," Zhang Zhihao smiled, acting as polite and courteous as a gentleman.

"Welcome, welcome! We're all family from now on!" Chengzi enthusiastically applauded, smiling like a bright, warm older sister.

"Welcome," Xia Ningxin also applauded, her response concise as she resumed her iceberg-queen demeanor.

"Uh..." Mo Xing was stunned, feeling as though something deep inside his heart had been pried open.

To be honest, although this otherworld had elements, magic, all sorts of miraculous things, as well as teachers, classmates, merchants, and villains, deep down he still felt lonely. There was a sense of disorientation, as if he had lost himself in a sea of people—as if his presence or absence in this otherworld didn't matter at all, and he was merely a vessel that had inherited the power of the Water Dragon God Kasin. Aside from that, he was just a wandering traveler reborn through transmigration, with no true reliance, no true destination, and no true purpose, no different from a drifting soul.

Yet at this very moment, three people had rushed over to tell him: "Hey, we're the same kind of people. Welcome to the fold~"

Suddenly, he felt as though this otherworld had gained warmth...
It felt like home...

*Dindong—*

His heart, once still like dead water, now rippled with waves.

"Th... Thank you everyone..." Mo Xing lowered his head and bit his lip.

"Why are you crying?" Chengzi noticed that something was amiss with Mo Xing.

"..." Xia Ningxin also looked over.

"N—Nothing, it's just that the food is too delicious..." Mo Xing wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes. "I'm just a little homesick..."

Suddenly, a strong, reassuring hand rested on Mo Xing's shoulder. Mo Xing turned his head; it was the great Zhang Zhihao sitting beside him.

"If it's delicious, eat more. Don't stand on ceremony!" Zhang Zhihao smiled.

"Homesickness is normal. Like us, we've stayed in this otherworld for quite a while, and just like you, we miss home too," Chengzi nodded.

"Mhm," Xia Ningxin said. "Let's do our best together."

"Mo Xing," Zhang Zhihao paused. "Just treat all of this like a long game, and we'll clear it together."

"Don't worry, there will always be a way back."
