Seeing Wan Chaoyang, Shu Yiming was somewhat surprised. He furrowed his brow and asked, “What are you doing here?”

Wan Chaoyang sat down, took two sips of ice water, shook his head, and said speechlessly, “How should I put this? Haven’t you received the news yet? Things have been going wrong lately. If I hadn’t come here, you probably wouldn’t even know what’s going on!”

“What happened? Did Vivian make a move on me?” Shu Yiming said casually.

Unexpectedly, Wan Chaoyang’s eyes lit up with a smile as he replied, “You really are a genius. You’re absolutely right—Vivian hasn’t just targeted you; she’s after all of us.”

“Explain clearly!” Shu Yiming immediately stood up. If it was Vivian, then this was indeed trouble.

Vivian was no ordinary woman; she was ruthless and fierce. It was well known that she had feelings for Shu Yiming. Now that Shu Yiming and Lin Peishi were married, it was undoubtedly a huge blow to her.

Hearing this, Lin Peishi felt a pang of sadness. She stepped forward and gently grasped Shu Yiming’s arm, uneasy.

“Maybe we should head back now. If she really loses control, we won’t be able to handle her,” Lin Peishi said, fully aware of Vivian’s character and knowing Shu Yiming’s reluctance to get entangled with her. But at this moment, there was no other choice.

“Don’t worry,” Shu Yiming said softly, patting the back of Lin Peishi’s hand.

Soon, the group returned to the Shu family mansion. To Shu Yiming and the others’ surprise, Vivian stood right in front of the estate, dressed in a white wedding gown. The moment she saw Shu Yiming, she immediately stood up to greet him.

Vivian’s face bore no trace of anger; instead, she smiled and said, “I’m giving you two choices: either marry me, or I become your enemy. When that happens, I’ll take everything here as my own property, and you’ll be nothing but a powerless spendthrift!”

Her words were loud and serious, leaving no room for doubt that she was not joking.

Shu Yiming looked at her expression and shook his head.

“Why insist on this? There are plenty of good men in this world. What’s the point of clinging to just me?” Shu Yiming got out of the car, pushed Vivian’s arm away, and looked at her with a serious expression, brow furrowed.

“Why must I insist? Don’t you understand how I feel?” Vivian’s emotions broke down. She burst into tears, her eyes brimming with sorrow as she looked at Shu Yiming with anguish.

“At this point, I’m not afraid to be honest with you. If you want my help, I will do everything I can. But if you want to be with me, that’s absolutely impossible.” Shu Yiming shook his head and turned to leave, but Vivian grabbed his waist from behind.

Her touch was gentle, and her scent intoxicating, carrying a natural allure.

Yet Shu Yiming’s resolve was strong; he was not swayed by her seduction and even smiled faintly.

He gently pushed Vivian away and spoke with her for a long time.

At first, Vivian was unwilling to give up. After all, men like Shu Yiming were rare. The sons of noble families were all indulgent or irresponsible; none could compare to him.

But as the conversation dragged on, Vivian grew bored.

Shu Yiming’s thoughts were clearly elsewhere, constantly mentioning Lin Peishi. In just over an hour of talking, he had brought her up more than a dozen times.
