Li Rou did not intend to be docile after receiving the documents. She immediately flipped them open to take a look, and upon seeing their contents, her eyes widened in disbelief. She promptly made a phone call to Wan Chaoyang.

"Brother, do you know what this is? I have information in my hands that could shock the entire world. If this were to be leaked, Zhao An would undoubtedly fall, and even Zhao Tianguang might not be able to save him," Li Rou whispered, her voice low and cautious for fear of being overheard.

Wan Chaoyang was at a social club when he heard this. He was startled, immediately pushing himself away from the woman in his arms. Shocked, he asked, "What are you talking about? What exactly are those documents? What is going on? I haven't heard of anything happening recently."

Li Rou explained the ins and outs of the situation. Wan Chaoyang fell silent, his mind racing as he weighed the pros and cons.

After a moment of thought, he let out a sigh and said slowly, "If what you say is true, then this is terrifying. Do whatever he asks of you. Be obedient and keep your head down. Act as if you never knew about this, and act as if you never told me."

A cold sweat broke out on Wan Chaoyang's back. He knew that if he were to get involved, once Shu Yiming recovered, it wouldn't just be his own life at stake. He had children, a company, and a whole group of people who relied on him. If he were to die, there would be no one left to look after them.

A few minutes later, Li Rou arrived at the law enforcement headquarters with the documents. She handed them over to the administrator and asked, "Is my boss doing alright inside? How is he doing? Can I see him?"

...

Meanwhile, Shu Yiming sat in a room devoid of light.

The room had only one tiny window, through which a sliver of sunlight struck the table. A cup of tea sat before him, and the air in the room was thick and choking with the smell of cigarette smoke.

Sitting opposite him was an elderly man. He glanced at Shu Yiming, coughed lightly, and spoke slowly. His voice sounded like the scraping of old tree bark.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself? Do you admit to these matters or not? With both human and physical evidence present, there is no use in denying it." As he spoke, the man scribbled rapidly in a notebook, recording the proceedings.

Shu Yiming showed no fear; he merely smiled faintly and said, "The time has not yet come. Wait a moment longer. My people will be here soon. If you want to talk, talk to them."

"Insolent! Is that any way to speak? How old are you, and what is your profession? Where were you when the incident occurred?" The man slammed his palm against the table, making the items on it rattle with a clatter that sent a chill down one's spine.

Yet, Shu Yiming remained unmoved, his faint smile persisting as if everything were playing out exactly as he had foreseen.

Unable to contain his frustration any longer, the man stood up and lunged toward Shu Yiming, shouting, "Who do you think you are? Do you have any idea how serious this is? You have caused profound and far-reaching damage."

"My people will be here shortly. I have sufficient evidence to prove my innocence."

Before Shu Yiming could finish his sentence, the man began to shake him by the arm, acting as if he had lost his mind.

Just as the man was on the verge of a breakdown, the door was suddenly pushed open, and two people rushed in.
