Launching tomorrow
Well, today I originally planned to clear two chapters of my backlog and then post a new update.
However...
I am getting officially published and monetized tomorrow!
There is no help for it. My updating speed has been a bit too fast—210,000 words in 26 days—and since I missed out on the standard launch package, I requested my editor to move up the release date, which happened to land on tomorrow.
When I saw that, I thought: Ah, this is precisely the moment to unleash my shameless side.
Therefore, the third chapter will be postponed until tomorrow.
Um, the key to this official launch is subscriptions. I am begging you noble patrons to at least contribute to the initial subscription numbers.
Currently, the active readership is at 1,700. If I can get 1,500 initial subscriptions upon launch, I will be quite satisfied.
Please do not abandon me or give up on me!
...
How many chapters will be released upon launch is always the focal point. Let me set a modest goal for everyone—maintaining a baseline of two chapters totaling 7,000 words daily.
Cough, cough, just kidding.
After the launch, two chapters totaling 7,000 words will be the guaranteed minimum daily update.
Of course, there are rules for bonus chapters, for instance:
Every 100 monthly votes earns one bonus chapter. Since we currently have fewer than 500 monthly votes, that would be 4 bonus chapters right there.
For another instance, if the weekly recommendation votes exceed 2,000, that earns one bonus chapter. For every 1,000 votes beyond the initial 2,000, another bonus chapter is added. Last week we had over 2,300 recommendation votes, so that's 1 bonus chapter.
The rules for bonus chapters remain permanently in effect until I literally cannot write anymore—or until I turn into a deadbeat debtor.
Therefore, the current tally of bonus chapters should be 4 + 1 + 2 (from the backlog), plus the normal update. In theory, tomorrow's output should be 9 chapters.
Naturally, having only one chapter saved up in my drafts, I am certainly unable to achieve that. Thus, I will strive to resolve the 7 bonus chapters within three days.
Tomorrow, come hell or high water, I will grind out at least 5 chapters as a baseline!
Finally, the most important sentence:
Subscriptions!
