"I have nothing better to do anyway, and I've grown accustomed to this job. If I were to stay home idle for a few days, I’d probably feel uncomfortable!" Qi Lin said to her colleagues at the station.

"How is it going? Have you checked out all the information on this person?"

"Although it sounds a bit far-fetched, I have searched for his information through various channels. He is not a wanted criminal, so I think his story holds a certain degree of credibility," Qi Lin replied.

"Even so, obtaining a new identity for him requires a guarantor, which carries a certain amount of risk. Are you sure about this?"

"Don't worry, I have quite a bit of confidence in my ability to judge character," Qi Lin said with a smile.

"Since you’re new here and all alone, why don't you stay at my place for the few days it takes to get your ID?"

Lin An followed Qi Lin out. Seeing that he was a newcomer and completely on his own, Qi Lin felt inclined to let him stay with her for a while.

Lin An nodded. On Earth, the most influential organization was likely the Super Seminary. If he could establish a City God Temple centered around the Super Seminary, he should be able to gather Soul Points rapidly. Therefore, regardless of his other motives, Lin An felt he had to visit the Super Seminary.

Moreover, extraterrestrials would soon invade Earth, which would mean a massive influx of Soul Points. If he could turn Qi Lin, Ge Xiaolun, or even the entire corps of Super Seminary warriors into members of the Yama Palace, he suspected he could collect ten million Soul Points in the shortest possible time. Qi Lin's apartment was decent; staying in the living room was perfectly fine for Lin An. Looking at the familiar atmosphere of modern life, Lin An felt a wave of nostalgia. If he were still in his original world, he would likely just be another ordinary person among the masses, struggling for a house and a wife.

"Get settled in first. Later, I'll take you to buy some clothes, and then we'll grab something to eat before coming back to rest."

Qi Lin changed out of her uniform into casual attire. She looked quite good—at least, by Lin An's standards, she passed.

Lin An looked at his own clothes, which were indeed attracting some attention, and nodded. That evening, Lin An went back to Qi Lin’s place with her. After changing into modern clothes, Lin An looked like quite the handsome young man, with the added benefit of being physically fit.

"I really couldn't tell that you’d have such a complicated past!" Qi Lin said, looking at Lin An, whose skin was even better than her own. She curiously reached out to poke the muscles on his arm, looking helpless.

"Perhaps I’m just naturally like this; even the sun can't darken me!" Lin An laughed.

"Get some sleep. We have work tomorrow!"

After chatting for a while, Qi Lin prepared to return to her room, but Lin An called out to her.

"You’re about to become a member of the Super Seminary. Don't you have any concerns?"

"The Super Seminary? It sounds mysterious, but once inside, I reckon it won't be much different from the Police Academy," Qi Lin said nonchalantly. She didn't actually know much about the Super Seminary and assumed it was just further training; there wasn't much information about it online either.

"Actually, the main purpose of the Super Seminary is to train super soldiers. It's just that they established it too late, because extraterrestrials will soon invade Earth," Lin An said.

"Extraterrestrials? Invading Earth? You’ve been watching too many sci-fi movies. Go to sleep; we have to wake up early tomorrow!" Qi Lin didn't take his words to heart; she even suspected he was trying to pull her leg.

"I am not lying to you. You should know deep down that your own body has already begun to change. Look..."

With that, Lin An summoned the Bone Chilling Flame. The flames enveloped Qi Lin, and she could clearly sense the terrifying power within them.

"Who exactly are you?"

Qi Lin's expression turned grave instantly. This was not a power humans were capable of possessing. She even began to suspect that Lin An had approached her with ulterior motives.

"I have no malicious intent. To be honest, I really want to see the inside of the Super Seminary, if you're willing to take me," Lin An said.

"Do you think I would take someone of unknown origin to the Super Seminary?" Qi Lin was stunned that Lin An had been hiding such a card up his sleeve—the mastery of supernatural power.

"What would it take for you to believe me? Shall I grant you supernatural power?" Lin An said helplessly; Qi Lin was far too guarded against him.

"I just want to know who you are and why you approached me."

"Meeting you was truly a coincidence. I had originally planned to find the Super Seminary on my own, but I didn't expect to run into you here!" Lin An shrugged and continued. "And what did you mean by granting me supernatural power? Are the extraterrestrials really going to invade Earth?"

"They are indeed coming. Before long, the entire Earth will be thrown into chaos. When that happens, the people from the Super Seminary will have to step up. If you can master more power, you won't feel so helpless when you watch your friends and family leave one by one."

"And the conditions? What are your terms? I don't believe you’d give away this 'supernatural power' for free."

For some reason, Qi Lin was starting to believe him. With the mysterious flames he wielded, he wouldn't need to waste breath if he wanted her dead. Although she might possess powers beyond those of an ordinary human, she hadn't mastered them yet.

"Fate brought us together. I'll give you this power for free!" Lin An said with a smile. Once she accepted his gift, she would belong to the Yama Palace; any conditions he might set later would be trivial compared to that.

"What kind of power can you give me?" Qi Lin was intrigued.

"You are a sniper," Lin An said, "so I will teach you the art of the sword."
